Great, once installed; but Installing was a Pain!

Overall: I like the Pull-up/Dip Bar, but it was a tough InstallThe Good: Once installed, this is a great set, but it was really hard to install. The instructions are a joke as I had to buy about $125 dollars worth of parts in order to make this work.I bought:2x8x12 board24 x 36 one inch ply wood by 2Some concrete anchors: 1/4 by 2 inches (24 anchors)I sawed the wood down to fit for the pull up bar. You really need to buy wood, mount the wood to your concrete and then mount the bar to the wood…

Pros
  • Pads are a little hard but for the price definitely worth it
Cons
  • Dip bar is wobbly

Perfect for small home office/gym

It was pretty much perfect. It does require skill to install/mount it. But once done it works great. I am 220 lbs and it’s mounted on my basement wall and works flawlessly. Make sure the wood that you use are 8x2”. Get pressure treated wood it will last longer. Also get 4” screws to mount the wood to the wall. Remember measure twice, cut once. All in all it’s a great product. I’ve been using it for months now without any problems what so ever.

Great product, very sturdy. Here are some install tips.

I installed on 2 pieces of 1/2" plywood 31"x16" and 31"x14" spray painted black. The frame units were mounted to the plywood using 6x 1/4 in -20 x 1 in machine screws (home depot pn 530-681) per frame piece, total of 24 screws. I scaveneged the washers from the m8x80 expansion screws that were included. The machine screws were preinstalled from the back prior to mounting the plywood pieces to the wall. The plywood mounts were anchored to studs using 10x 2.5 inch wood screws I had lying around.A

Excellent Equipment

Used 2 by 8 plywood and cut them into 38”.The equipment is sturdy. I would highly recommend for the seller to add some wood screws and 5/16 Hex screws. Overall content with the product.

Damaged upon delivery

Ordered for a Christmas present and it showed up damaged. Was able to hammer baseplate back to flat in order to install and then spray paint to cover scratches. I installed on drywall so had to spend another $60 on hardware and wood to mount. Now that it is installed it is exactly what I hoped it would be.

Installing it in the studs in my garage

I installed it in my garage. I used two 12ft 2x6es, and 25 5/16x5 in lag screws as well as 5/16x1/2 in lag ones. Washers are optional (3/8 in). Thumbs up!

Pros
  • 👌

Stout when mounted properly

I have had this pullup bar/dip bar for a couple of weeks. I mounted it using spreaders made from 2x4s. I did mount it to a stud/drywall type wall. The powder coating on the bars is very good. The pads are ok for now. Time will tell with them. Overall I am happy with this purchase.

Best bang for your buck and space

Best bang for your buck for this set up. I love it, you do need to get yourself a few feet of 2x6, mount that to the studs, then mount this to it with 3/16th lag bolts and washers.

  • Pads are a little hard but for the price definitely worth it
Cons
  • Dip bar is wobbly
