Great box but don't forget to order the bracket.

Very quick installation and good build quality for the money. 4 stars only for the fact that there was no bracket in the kit. I expected that based on the pictures. Still worth the cost, just order the bracket with it.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Protection

Love this product

I love this product. It's lightweight and easy to carry. I can place it in places where I don't normally use softboxes due to their bulkiness. I do a lot of outdoor photography during the summer months and this has been a real joy for OCF.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Discontinued

Steel thickness required for one loop

This item is of high quality and will produce the desired soft glow effect. But it's almost impossible to fold it back up for storage in the included pouch. It's crazy. The smaller version is even more difficult than the larger version as you don't have the advantage of leverage. The smaller size makes the metal frame more difficult to flex by distributing the stress over a shorter area.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • No insurance

Very well made and soft light! Highly recommended.

I am a professional photographer and I trust Godox softboxes and other products including flashes. This little softbox was perfect as a backlight. I really liked the soft light that came out of the box. I use it with flash as they are not designed for flash lights. Very good quality and I would definitely buy again and recommend you buy reading this. Make sure you have a proper flash mount for it.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Minor issues

is a great softbox that has served me very well on site, to set up quickly and to a very small size for shipping to wrap. It works very well with my flashes when inserted into a new clamp mount that holds the flash horizontally. I learned the hard way never to use a regular hot shoe clip on a flash as the plastic material of a hot shoe tears easily and is damaged by a standard hot shoe clip. I would give five stars if I didn't have to struggle so much to put it back in its original packaging.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Poor Set

Just buy it, you'll love it except when you try to fold it back up

Very well built. Easy to open and install, ideal for those using S-type bracket. This was my first Godox product and I will probably buy more. When used with flash or a candy bar, the images are absolutely beautiful and even look professional. I definitely should have gotten a softbox a few years ago. However, the most negative experience comes from trying to fold it back into a small round/oval case. Tried about 10 times, but succeeded only once by luck. Again, further effort and practice will

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Not bad

Works great and at a great price. I've used it on two photo shoots and plan on getting more at some point. I used this for a local musician ad shoot on a dark street corner and also for a headshot session and the light bounces and spreads well. I've never used this brand, but will likely use it a lot at this point. I've used this box with their Godox S-Type Bracket Bowens Mount Holder for flash photography and it's a solid product too. I originally ordered the Neewer branded version of the same

Excellent, especially in this price range

I really love this product. As far as I remember, in one of Scott Kelby's books, Volume 5 of the Digital Photography series, Scott Kelby refers to using a 24x24 softbox to photograph weddings. I recently hosted my first wedding and bought this softbox along with a Godox S type Bowens flash mount for the event. I found the mount a bit tricky to install - it fits snugly and needs to be inserted at an angle. The mount and the softbox are very well made, especially in this price range. A really…
