Incredible leak. I finally stopped using it but will never buy it again. The gaskets that come with the new filters are too big so I bought a whole new assembly and it's still leaking like crazy. After three and a half rolls of duct tape (not needed at all in the whole world) I finally managed to stop licking. let's see how long that lasts.

I have had several filters from this brand over the years and have been pleased with their durability and filtration performance. The only problem over the years has been that when this filter arrived the threads in the main body were not properly cut and the cleaning bowl was not screwed far enough into the body to make contact with the gasket. The upside is they sent me another one and like the previous experience the quality was just as good.

I bought the 496 and 495 filters to filter off-road diesel fuel My new one Tractor. I hope they're never "needed" but if one of them ever snags something that could damage my tractor they'll pay for themselves more than once. They were easy to install and worth the security for a small price. Several people have told me that I don't need both filters, but the 496 water filter filters out water and particles down to 17 microns. The 495 filter captures down to 10 microns.
