Great, but no on/off toggle switch.

Inverter works great. Use it as an emergency power supply for the boiler. The boiler will not work with a modified sine wave inverter, but will work fine with this pure sine wave inverter. It was disappointing that the picture had an on/off toggle switch, which I needed. The actual switch is a button. The difference is that if you turn on the inverter and then turn off the 12 volt power supply, the push button switch will reset to the "off" position when 12 volts are reapplied. The toggle…

Great price - no problem!

Looks like a good inverter for the money. Complaints that positive and negative posts are too close together are unfounded. This is my third inverter and all the smaller inverters have about the same spacing between racks. If you don't know that it's a good idea to disconnect the batteries when installing the inverter, you should definitely have someone do it so you don't burn your RV down! I have a few fans. of it and I don't get any high frequency noise, so that's good. I also run the…

Compact with remote control

I needed a small inverter to charge our laptops and e-bike batteries in our RV. As with most RVs, my candles only get hot when using shore power or our noisy onan propane generator. I'd love to move to a fully off-grid system, but I need to upgrade my solar panels and batteries and I didn't have time for that in the middle of our racing season. Enter this little GoWise inverter. It fit in the small space I had in my RV. It's powerful enough to charge what we need and it costs $90. I didn't give

Great product, almost perfect. Great for high power electronics

So far I like this inverter. real sine wave. My high-end e-bike charger, MacBook charger, and other sensitive electronics work like a boss. YOU CANNOT DRAW 600W WITH THE BUBBLE CLIPS. There isn't enough surface area to draw the full 50A needed to run the 600W. If you use the included alligator clips you can only draw about 25A or about 300W. You need to buy a separate cable to connect to the battery. That's why I didn't leave 5 stars. This is also because the + and - screw terminals on the…

Smokes on first overload

I ordered 2 of these to power my flashes. I have previously used a Kilo-Watt device for sale on Revain to determine the load power of my flashes (well below the inverter rating). The inverter worked as advertised to power a flash head. The company says the inverter has all sorts of overload protection built in etc. I purposely hooked up a second flash head to see how it would react to an overload. Shutdown and alarm were expected. I let the unit cool down for 10 minutes, turned it back on and…

Over 1.8 years of moderate use and still works great in a mobile van

I need something compact and small that fits over the AGM battery case. 600W is ideal in terms of size and light to medium AC load. The 1000w and 1500w models are oversized and difficult to move or hide under a van seat. A pure sine wave is important because it gives me clean and reliable 117-120VAC. Other impure sine wave inverters I currently use will step down to 90-95 VAC. Most sensitive devices will not work at this voltage. I also have a small UPS in the van and it doesn't like 92 VAC…

Cannot handle surges

This inverter was purchased specifically to power the small portable ice maker I take with me when I boat or travel in our RV. I'm a retired electrician and have installed several major inverters and batteries for remote homes so I'm well versed in AC and DC power sources. I have measured when plugged in that the icemaker draws 3 watts at 120VAC for about 3 minutes as it moves the tray to the desired position and starts a small pump to push water from the tank into this tray. Then the…
