Works as advertised!

I had a scratch on my windshield which appeared to be caused by the wiper arm (not a blade) being scratched on it. Not as bad as it sounds but it was a hairline scratch I can feel with my fingernail. A bit of cerium oxide, some glass polishing pads, my trusty double-action polishing machine, and within an hour the scratch was completely gone. Works as intended.

Working for intended purpose. Cerium oxide removes small surface scratches from glass. A felt polishing pad must be used with a rotary tool or buffing machine. Expecting it to remove very deep scratches or chips on glass is unrealistic. Any scratch or chip that deep requires insanely long hours of polishing and results in a large indentation and potentially dangerous weakening of the glass. I used mine in an aquarium. Three 2.5 inch scratches removed in 45 minutes. A Dremmel with a felt…
