Quality product from 3M

These are great for preparing your items for painting. Equivalent to 600-800 grit sandpaper and can be used wet or dry. I used them for the finishing touches on the primer to give my top coat a little bit of adhesion.

Pros
  • Confidence
Cons
  • Fading

Excellent for making plastic overlays for car and truck bumpers.

They are ideal for sanding new plastic bumper covers or other plastic body parts. They are fine and will not damage the plastic, but will roughen the plastic surface enough to allow the primer or plastic promoter to stick to the bumper.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Essential Pre-Paint Product

These scotch brite pads worked great when I was preparing my car for painting. My car had a heavy case of peeling clear coat so I decided to clean it again. So I took them, cut them into quarters and started sanding. Photo was taken right after sanding and using wax/grease remover. I will definitely use more next time I paint my car.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Some problems

I already use them and they are great. I cut them in four pieces

I already use them and they are great. I cut them in quarters. Fits my hand perfectly. I was able to remove a streak from my stainless steel refrigerator caused by occasionally banging on the handle of an open cabinet door. It looks like new. If you attempt a project like this, be sure to grate the "grain" of brushed stainless steel.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Worth the money good for tools and gadgets

They are good value for the price and for the quantity you get they are worth the money. I bought these gray extra thin pads to remove scratches from some of the Invicta watches I own and let me tell you they work great if you know what you are doing. Please use them on brushed steel not polished, polished metal will require a different product. Overall it was worth the money for the amount of pads you get!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

Used it to remove a scratch on my stainless steel fridge.

Received today. I was able to remove a fairly large round scratch from my stainless steel fridge in about a couple of minutes. Just sanded lightly along the grain (one direction only) and then used some stainless steel polish. Looks great. Highly recommended. Oh, you need to make sure your stainless steel utensil is uncoated. Because it removes the plating when you use it and it's not 100% stainless steel. They appear to be selling a kit of test strips. I just took a chance and assumed mine was

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons

Light grey, 600-800 grit

I bought these based on the chart below which I found online. They seem to scratch the aluminum a bit, but I think I prefer sandpaper for metal prep at the moment. That being said, the product itself is great and looks like real Scotchbrite pads. Light Cleaning Pad - (1000) 7448 - Light Gray, Ultra Fine Hand - (600-800) 6448 - Green, Light Hand - (600) 7447 - Maroon, General Purpose - (320-400) 6444 - Brown, called Extra Duty - (280 -320)7446 - Dark Gray Disc called Blending Pad (180-220)7440 -
