Description of 🧼 Grit Guard Washboard Bucket Insert - Grit Guard Insert Add-On for Enhanced Cleaning

Rising from it’s connection to the Grit Guard Insert, the Grit Guard Washboard is the new angle on car washing. A vertical array of specially designed ribs extract even the finest dirt and grit from your wash mitt or brush. Scrubbing your cleaning tool on the Washboard releases trapped particles that scratch your vehicles finish. Dirt and grit settle to the bottom of the bucket where the Grit Guard Insert (required, but not included) calms the wash water, trapping it in the bottom of the bucket. Wash it right with Grit Guard - your car deserves it!.

Did the job for buckets, sand guards and kits

It fits a 5 gallon bucket quite tight and I couldn't attach it to the sand trap. I must have the wrong sand trap, idk. However, it works.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Has problems

Ideal for wash buckets

Great addition to the Grit Guard base. Placed in rinse bucket and used to "wash" mittens against to remove dirt from chenille gloves.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • unreliable

Suitable for car washes I think

I just dipped the mitten in the bucket, even with sand protection. But when I add this washboard, I rub it with my glove while I soak it. It only seems logical to me that removing loose materials from the glove before placing the glove on the surface of the car would help.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Don't know

Easy to use sand guard nozzle

Included For those of you who use the 2 bucket sand guard method when washing your car this is a great addition. This allows you to effectively "wash" your glove instead of dipping it to the bottom to find the traditional sand protector. Just a little easier and time-saving. Incidentally, this is attached to the protective cover.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Negative

Why didn't I think of that?!

Sand protection is an essential part of proper car care for those who know how to do it right. I used to lift mine to wipe all the dirt off my glove and when I saw that I had a 'finally' and 'I'm so stupid' moment. I have no doubt we've all removed our protective covers, but having a product that works hormonally with protective covers is okay with the world.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Older model

Washboard blues. on Buckets, Grit Guards & Kits

The concept of a washboard with grit guard is a very good one. It works as advertised. The problem is that when you put the laundry bucket on the strainer, the needle's legs fall off. I fixed this problem with Gorilla Glue. When gluing the pins, I simply maneuver the bucket strainer to reposition the washboard after use. If I didn't use glue I would probably return the Revain washboard. The strainer at the bottom of the bucket is excellent.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Simple idea, but vastly improved results

This thing sits on top of your sandguard and can be mounted at an angle. This is better than a sandguard as it is easier to rub and move the washmitt at this angle than the lower, flat, horizontal surface of a traditional sandguard. This will remove more dirt from your wash mitt and therefore keep it off your car. Also, I see no need to double down on sand protection like some do if you have it. Make sure you have the required holes in the center of your existing guard to attach this thing.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Nice addition to help kick up the bottom of the dish mitt

Adding a sand guard to the bottom of the bucket has helped minimize dirt build up and rubbing against my car. This added feature makes it much easier to rub the underside of the wash mitt against the surface to loosen any dirt that might be stuck to it, allowing us to further minimize the risk of contaminants leaving scratches on the clear coat - if we try , to remove the same most. This was a great addition to my rinse bucket (water only) but I still use a separate soap bucket to make it much…

Make sure your gritguard works well with the bucket you are using.

So this product works great and does what it's supposed to. But to take full advantage of it, you need to make sure you have a good system with a real gritguard and the bucket you're using it with. can stick out of the water a bit and it ends up with splashes when you use it which I don't like. If your gritguard doesn't fit snugly in the bottom of the bucket, it'll turn everywhere and you'll find it tiresome to readjust it every time you want to use it. And when the Gritguard turns in the…
