Now it's a lot easier to get in and out of my lifted jeep

These handles are well made and durable. The window mount puts them in the right spot for easier jeep boarding. They seem to be very durable and look great. I had to "push" the edge of the windshield trim a bit to get into one of the mounting holes, but no cutting was required on my 01" TJ. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Hard to say

Better than handrails

I really like this handrail. I've had grip straps that attach the Velcro to the roll bar and found them flimsy. Those handrails that attach with factory bolts are much better. Very solid and sits in a corner I thought would be easier to grab than a roll bar. The welds definitely don't look premium, but I think they'll hold up. Assembly took about 5 minutes on each side. I decided not to cut the skin and just left it. This is a jeep.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction

good addition for boarding jeep with lift

This addition helps me a lot when boarding my jeep wrangler with lift. As I got older I needed something to help me get up and into the jeep. Before installing, I used the steering wheel as a grip point. This made the tilt wheel function loose and I had to adjust the steering wheel almost every time I got in the jeep. It's now much easier for me to get in and out with these sturdy handles. The handles are very heavy and durable. They have a comfortable rubber grip.

Why waste three?: Body and trim

Wanted to buy some $85 bars and they advertised they were all metal unlike cheaper competitors. This one is all metal and less than a third cheaper. The installation took only half an hour. My only concern is that the roll bar moved when I removed the screws on the left side because the top was on. I had to ask my wife to put it back on so I put the screws back in. On the other hand, I wisely only removed one screw, then installed the rod, then removed the second screw, then twisted it up to…

Keep your ass out of the dirt

I have a 98 TJ that was built for rough work. This is no sidewalk princess. Thanks to the Florida sun and weather, I've tried several Velcro handrails. I just couldn't bring myself to pay what other brands charge for these types of handrails. Oooh, thought I'd give these a try and lo and behold, I'm very happy with them. Since my TJ doesn't have a plastic finish, it took me 10 minutes to install them and their durability is very impressive. At 6ft 220lbs with 39.5 tires I can easily get in and…

Perfect fit for my Wranger YJ!

Holy cow! What an easy setup! And now I can get in and out of my jeep with ease. I love my new sissy bars (laughs). They're beautiful and durable, they look great - and I can't understand why they weren't put on jeeps as stock. Of course I have an old Jeep, but this is not a new concept. Don't mess with the "cheaper" ones - you'll only save a few bucks, they won't fit - you'll go insane. You'll either spend a lot of time getting it to work or get them back like I did. Be smart - order them the…

It is great. I wanted something stronger and .

They are so cool. I wanted something stronger and much stronger than the handrails attached to the roll bars. They fit with the original hardware at the attachment point without any modification. I find it a bit odd that the handle mounting holes are drilled with a taper to match the pan head mounting screw when they suggest using the original mountings which are pan head screws. If it bothers you like me then it will fix the hardware. Still an excellent product. Immediately after I bought them

Handrail Installation Hour

I do a lot of work on all my cars and it took about an hour. makes it MUCH easier) Installation is simple and straightforward if you already have everything you need. But it takes about an hour from start to finish for both sides if you remove and reattach all the trim to make it look original. My advice, if you order them, remove the trim and cut the hole before it goes in. It takes 5 minutes to reassemble everything after you take it down. If you have an 04-06 and want to reuse the fairing…

Fits great!: Carry handles

Works great. My friend first had them in his jeep and I decided I liked them a lot more than the velcro/roll bar. They are very sturdy and offer a more comfortable entry and exit from the jeep. ------- Installation Notes: Relatively easy to install, I would recommend using ONE SCREW at a time rather than taking both out and aligning, your bow may have enough tension that it will be more difficult to realign everything if you do both screws at once. Basically take one screw, put the handle in…
