I do not want it.

Wanted to be liked, but following the instructions I only managed to paint 3 small pieces before the vat was "used up". And there is no way to refresh it unless I buy more chemicals. For the price, it's too big a gamble as it's very easy to mess things up and then you're left with $50 dirty water in a tub that looks like ineffective paint.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Discontinued model

My first time, but definitely not the last time!

Using these simple indigo coloring tools, I created a bandana that my artist wife thinks is beautiful. I thought that first crawl was exercise but she doesn't give it back! As a beginner I had needed the manual (clear and simple instructions) and tools (pigments, gloves etc.) for the first dive. But now I have all sorts of ideas for what's next. I'll be experimenting with cotton gauze bandanas, but I'd like to go a little crazy - I've seen people online dying white tennis shoes and blankets…

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Big and Chunky

high quality indigo, nice packaging, great experience!

Update: More than a week later, I filled a pot of dye with hot water, stirred it, and it's still coloring great (see the pic of the bandana I added!). I bought this as a gift after using it myself because I liked it so much! I love that this is natural indigo grown in the USA. The instructions were really helpful and detailed - it's easy to do but you have to pay attention to the details. I found the vat worked best when I used a stainless steel pot so I could get it to a nice hot temperature…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others
