Can't raise it for life.

Can't wear it for life, spent more than 2 hours on the Ford E-150 and tried different methods. If you want to buy this, you can also remove the engine from the car.

It screws easily straight into 14mm spark plug holes

I bought this to use on my Jeep V6 engine with recessed spark plug holes. It easily screws into 14mm plug holes and the compression tester easily connects to the top end which is also 14mm threaded. It has neoprene O-rings for fit and seal. I've seen reviews where people say they had a leak but that must be because they overtightened the extension which caused the o-ring to either break or expand and rise higher than he should have. This tool should be pressed lightly by hand by turning it…

Piece of Garbage - Engine Tools

As mentioned in the first review, the lack of a one-way valve will affect your count by adding volume in the line. I have used this product in the past. 2 years wondering why my numbers were always 30psi lower than without the extension. The first reviewer explains why. For example, I have a 1979 MG Midget. When used with an extension I saw 90 psi numbers on all 4 cylinders. When I removed the extension, my KD Tool compression gauge showed a steady reading of 130-140psi. I could never…

Not an extension for a compression tester, regardless of the product name

DO NOT USE FOR COMPRESSION TESTING! You can use it for leak testing. The compression tester extension MUST have a one-way valve on the tip (if you look at the compression tester with the hose or extension that comes with the kit you will see the valve in the tip). This product is just a hollow tube with no valve (at least in the one they sent me). This means that its internal volume adds to the volume in the cylinder when the piston is at the top of its stroke, and the pressure is released…

The product name is a bit misleading

As mentioned before this distorts the compression reading as it doesn't have a valve at the end like a compression tester hose. Because of this, it effectively increases the volume of the cylinder, reducing compression pressure. That being said, I don't use it for compression testing, I use it for leaks. The absence of a pressure reducing valve does not affect the leakage results. My leak tester has a fairly thin hose, making it difficult to tighten the o-ring and get a good seal when testing…

  • Not bad
