Type of review

After reading the reviews I was skeptical, I have windows 7 and had some trouble connecting the device but after following the installation instructions it connected and it works just as well as some of the slides I scanned at Sam's Club a few years ago you have to be persistent to set them up. 4 stars for this money!

Doesn't work on Windows 10.

It does exactly what I wanted when it comes to scanning film. So why four stars? Well, it does NOT work on Windows 10. It doesn't recognize the device and there doesn't seem to be a way to install drivers. However, I have a Vista virtual machine running and it works fine. So if you have Windows 10 but know how to do it (or already have an older Windows. I think I saw it work before Windows 7) then this is a very reliable film scanner at a low price.

ALTERNATIVE FOR COPYING PHOTOS

I like the three ways to copy photos from slides, film negatives and 4x6 photos. Photo app that was available online. This technique makes it quicker to copy photos I want to save and view from a flash drive to a TV, smartphone, or tablet. When I need a better quality photo, I use the printer's scanner and enhance the photos to improve detail and color. I've also used a portable handheld scanner, but the quality isn't as sharp and detailed as the innovative copier. I gave it three stars because

Buyers, be careful when it comes to OS compatibility.

Note that ITNS seems to be releasing their old equipment. I have to admit that the product description has an OS compatibility statement - does not work on WIN 7. However, I have an ITNS-500 that I bought some time ago and it works fine on my WIN 10 system. I've invested $30 in another one because I lost some accessories. My computer doesn't recognize the one I just got, but the first one I bought still works perfectly. Too bad for this company that they haven't developed new software to make…

ALTERNATIVE TO PHOTOCOPYING

I like three applications: copying photos from slides, film negatives and 4x6 photos. The quality of the images is not very sharp and not as bright as I would like, so I have to make the copies using the photo application that myself retouch was available on the internet. This technique makes it quicker to copy photos I want to save and view from a flash drive to a TV, smartphone, or tablet. When I need a better quality photo, I use the printer's scanner and enhance the photos to improve detail

Pros
  • Convert 35mm negatives, slides, photos and business cards to JPEG format.
Cons
  • socket required.

At the same time, it worked like clockwork

After reading some of the negative reviews I was a bit reluctant to buy this product. However, I had a request from a friend to transfer the slides to DVD and I didn't want to spend too much money on something I don't have many requests for. I mainly do video broadcasting. But I thought why not? I initially use Windows XP for all computer transfers and then Windows 10 for rendering and finalizing. So I haven't tried using this for OSes other than Windows XP. Other than that, it worked like a…
