I'm glad I bought it and I've bought it again.

I needed a cassette recorder for some old audio cassettes I have and for recording and playing radio programs. While not expensive, Jaras is about $10 more expensive than other players I own. The big difference is that Jaras hasn't "eaten" any of my tapes so far. Cheaper players "eat tapes regularly". The Jaras JJ-2618 has great tone and volume for voice recording and is definitely worth the extra money compared to players that destroy cassettes. I liked it so much that I bought it again - just

It's perfect for what I need and the price was right.

This is a replacement. The first came without a plug, but was quickly repaired. I needed something to play the Attack Anxiety and Depression tapes with Lucinda and other people's voices. Recorded in 1997. The sound is perfect for what I need it for. I wouldn't recommend headphones as there is a bit of background hiss on the tapes that you can't hear when playing the tapes through the speaker. The relaxation cassette (although I like hers better) had background music and sounded good. I tried…

I am a lawyer and have recently started working on a criminal case where the crime took place in the mid 1990's when cassettes were still in use. When I received the file, you know what?
