Strip Cut Time Saver

This allows you to very quickly cut 2 1/2" strips when using the stock footage. It was a dream come true when I also cross cut the 2 1/2" strips into 2 1/2" squares! tended to get stuck in the groove at the end (too wide) and I had the ruler slip when trying to remove the cutter, however this also means the groove doesn't have much tolerance which is good.. if the groove was too wide, you could end up with an uneven or inaccurate cutting width.

Pros
  • Build Confidence
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

But when I got involved with quilting, I realized that it is a very handy cutter. I fell in love with a beautiful blanket and it saved me so many hours at the editing table. I like to cut everything at once and my back hurts a lot so standing and cutting is just punishment for me. This speeds up the process so much I'm new to quilting but this and the Shape Cut Plus allows me to cut much faster.

Pros
  • quick change
Cons
  • many things

It's not worth it. suitable for rulers and ruler stands

I understand the purpose of this product. However, I feel this was made very uncomfortable as the slots were in two and a half inch increments. Great for working with 2" and 1/2" wide strips, but not so good for anything else. Especially if you have awkward measurements like five and a half. This is what happens when you put a thick sheet over the fabric without moving it. Again, I understand the usefulness of this product, but in terms of price and ease of use, I don't think it's worth…

Pros
  • I look forward to
Cons
  • It is difficult to remember, but it was

Good ruler for jelly roll strips

This saves me a ton of time trying to cut jelly roll strips. My cutter slides through the slots and doesn't get stuck. I was concerned about this after reading a previous review. No problem with that. I used the "tips" of the ruler to hold the ruler on the fabric to keep it in place. I always hang my rulers on the wall and the ruler doesn't seem to bend or warp. Biggest problem I've had so 3 stars, shipping took too long. I contacted the seller to find out when it would arrive and they said it…

Great for making your own jelly rolls

I like shape cut rulers and have several of these - I tend to 'fall off' the standard ruler when cutting so these slotted rulers are great for me - I can cut much faster and with better results. It's huge, but it's just what it takes to cover the fabric! I can now create many accurate 2-1/2 inch strips very quickly. Love it! I use 2-1/2 strips for jelly quilts and also for tying, so this cord has a wide range of uses. This line also makes it easy to make 5" and 10" blocks for filling amulet…

Pros
  • Rulers and ruler holders
Cons
  • Some bugs

Easy to use with excellent results. LOVE IT.

FUCKING. easy to use and great results. LOVE IT.UPDATE May 1st, 2015 I've been using this ruler/tool for a few weeks now and had a 'reason' to use it multiple times. I'm here to tell you this thing is amazing. If the June Tailor didn't win a creativity award for this piece, they definitely missed it. Be careful how much you have to cut, you will just keep cutting and cutting. it's darn easy to do! Believe me I made it! I now have 2-1/2 "strips and 5" squares that I "need" to make something LOL!

Pros
  • Crafts and sewing
Cons
  • Long delivery time
