Description of 🧵 Premium Craftsmanship with Kai 7230 Inch Professional Shears Sewing: A Must-Have for Every Sewing Enthusiast

Made of a high carbon, hardened stainless steel, the Kai 7230 is the 9-inch professional scissor that is ideal for thicker, more difficult fabrics. The addition of Carbon allows fora steeper cutting angle, giving the scissor a sharper, finer edge that last. The Kai 7230being a 9-inch, is considered a lighter scissor, yet long enough for standard sewing projects. Most people compare this scissor to the Kai 7250 10-inch scissor. This pair arrived matte

I've been using Kai's scissors for years, this is my third pair (I cut my skin with them every day so I use them). Unfortunately this last purchase was boring and unreliable so I'm sending them back and buying direct from Kai's website. Having said that the Kai 7230 is VERY the best pair of scissors, I love them with all my heart but even on day one this particular pair didn't feel smooth or sharp to me. I would say buy these scissors from the Kai website though.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not all fit

The best scissors!

So I just bought 2 new tailor's scissors. The first pair was only about $13 from another company. They cut the fabric I had to cut. Yes, but not to the end of the scissors. Then I ordered them. IMPRESSIVE! no matter. They cut through 2 layers of batting and 4 layers of cotton (I make jelly roll mats) and they go through everything like butter. This is my second pair of Kai scissors. I have a smaller pair of gears that I just love! I am a KAI supporter! You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Difficult to say

I love these scissors!

I have 8 inch gingher scissors and I love how they cut through multiple layers of fabric for multiple. But I have to say that I am very impressed with these 9 inch Kai shears. Ergonomic handle is more comfortable to use. I quilted and sewed sixteen Christmas socks. Each stocking pattern consisted of four layers of fabric and two layers of batting. My hand/wrist didn't get tired or hurt after cutting all those stockings. They also cut through multiple layers of denim like butter. I highly…

Pros
  • Well built

The sharpest scissors worth the price.

I got it on the recommendation of several people. I've had a few Ginghers as "good" scissors that cut much better than Fiskars for the 1680 Ballistic Nylon I use. and redheads felt like cheap Fiscars. They cut through the ballistic nylon like nothing, like I hadn't cut through anything. Reliable, very sharp and easily cuts through tough fabrics. Now I'm spoiled, there are no other scissors for me. This makes things a lot easier for you when you have a lot of fabric to cut, so don't…

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Long wait

Smooth, beautiful, super sharp, the best!

Best scissors I have ever had. I've bought at least 10 different types over the last few years and have had to return most of them. With small/medium sized hands and a partial loss of grip function I have a hard time finding comfortable scissors. Luckily they are excellent! I'd like a slightly smaller handle, but that's impossible to find. From the photo it looks like the size of the handle is spot on, but it's a bit loose for a person with small fingers. The blades are very sharp and…

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Expensive

These scissors are the best when someone in your family sews these.

These scissors are the best, if someone in your family sews this is a gift they will love forever. I sew as a hobby and have been involved in handicrafts for many years. I used good quality Wiss steel scissors but the last pair I bought wasn't the quality I expected. I tried the Kai and was amazed that it stays sharp (fabric scissors should always be for fabric) and insanely accurate. Now I'm 68 years old, so I've been cutting and sewing for many years and I know how to use excellent scissors…

Pros
  • Excellent balance for effortless cutting
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Above my expectations. BUY THEM.

I was working with a terribly thick synthetic fabric and my almost new ginghers were having problems. I ordered them in hopes of improvement. I got a pair of scissors that cut through the Ginger Nightmare material with significantly less force than it takes to close Ginghers IN THE AIR. They are lighter and more comfortable in the hand (do not dig in). I'm in love. I will say that I thought they might be a little small for my hand at first glance (large women's gloves are often small for me…

Pros
  • Smooth lightweight cutter
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Yes they are that good!

I have been using Gingher scissors for many, many years. They have always been of the highest quality, easy to sharpen and last forever (or so I thought). BUT - I had to buy a new pair because I couldn't find anyone to grind my gingers at the moment. So I started reading the reviews. Kai has the best ratings. I couldn't choose between 8-9 or 10 inches. My ginghers were 8 inches. But maybe they were a bit short. They definitely became uncomfortable after a few hours of use. So I watched a video…

Pros
  • Excellent cut on all fabrics
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other materials
