Dinosaur Discovery Kinetic Sand Playset Review

Everything got mixed up, like returned. To be honest, the kids would have mixed the sand anyway, but with this brand it was a bit incongruous that it wasn't packaged in sets like this. The kids still loved it and didn't know the difference, all parts were lost.

This is what ours looked like when we opened it. It actually looks second hand. We were very disappointed when we opened the box. The sand came packaged in our previous kinetic sand purchases. We also thought the red and back sands should be separate based on some product photos.

Looks like my fingers are in the sand already. Why isn't the sand packed, how long is it open? Looks open/used. The instructions indicate that you must place the bones, cover them with sand, and then uncover them. Bought as a gift but planning to return. Not happy with this purchase. If it should look like this when delivered, then the product description should be clearer.

Bought for my crazy dinosaur grandson who needs to work on fine motor skills. He needs to hold a small tool to dig and the pliers move to collect the dinosaur. He will also use his logical skills to assemble the dinosaur. I already bought him a dinosaur sticker book to learn about dinosaurs. My daughter assures me that sand is easier to use and easier to lift off the ground. Can't wait for Christmas!

I initially gave this toy a bad review because it looked used. However, I did find a live unboxing of this set on YouTube and this set clearly differs from the others in that the sand is not bagged. This set is perfect for my dinosaur loving kid! Skeletons are buried in the sand. They dig them up and then collect them. If I have to complain, sand sometimes gets stuck in the joints when you're trying to put pieces together. It comes with 2 sand colors - black and red. Black is the top layer. Red under the thread.
