Beautiful finishing plugs

They were perfect for the red oak project. Most of the grain corresponded to the front and edge structure of the wood. 5-10 per pack have a normal grain color but can easily be used in inconspicuous areas or to even out an uneven grain in a project.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Pocket dowel - accessory for jig

These plugs are great for covering visible pocket holes that you don't want to see. When painting, you can use almost any type of wood. If you're not painting, it's a good idea to buy dowels made from the same species of wood. These plugs are available in different types of wood.

Pros
  • practical article
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Goes perfectly with my oak project. Sanded and varnished like my oak stock.

Perfect for my oak project. Sanded and varnished like my oak stock. The fiber orientation is different for each piece, so in hindsight I should have spent more time selecting the pieces that correspond to the orientation of the board.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

If you use pocket holes it works great

I looked at various alternatives and for practical reasons none came up when I decided to use pocket screws. I used a lot of glue and after the glue dried I modified my dremel so I could work on the raised dots that stayed to a depth of 1/32 inch. After that I was able to use sandpaper on my multi tool. The attached photo shows what it looks like with an early American stain coat on red oak. I'll probably do my next project with mortise and tenon joints instead of pocket holes which should give

Makes using Kreg screw bags good to great

I've been using Kreg screws for years but usually leave the holes open when I hide them. I'm working on a prettier piece than usual and decided to try these. They make a good degree even better. However, I'm a Kreg fan, so I might be a little biased.

Great product

I made a solid oak cabinet using the Craig joining technique that had about 130 pocket holes. Incidentally, this was my first experience with corks and a kreg. The forks worked great, but I didn't realize at first that the thick end of the fork had to be trimmed down a bit to fit. Since the same end cap is used for the entire thickness of the wood, it made sense from my point of view. My bandsaw quickly cut about 1/4 inch off each of the plugs and they worked very well. It would be nice if you…

Gives you a nice professional look.

No, Kreg didn't invent the pocket hole gauge, but they made it easily available to the masses. The pocket hole attachment is a great addition to any shop and to make it even better Kreg has these little plugs that you can use to easily fill your holes when you're done. I remember the last time I read the reviews there were people crying that the earplugs were too long; said they would have to grind them forever after they were glued in. The nice folks at Kreg made it on purpose folks - one size

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
