IDEAL for on the go. This provides the necessary security if you "accidentally" turn the convertible top too far. I bought it to avoid being locked out of my own luggage.

Two stars because it looks like a lock. The lock can be easily opened without unlocking. It's somewhat similar to Eagle Creek Castle, but otherwise not.

They don't even work properly, very cheap and flimsy and both sides of the wire came out of the one I opened up. I have sent them back and asked for a refund but have NOT YET received anything from the seller and I have sent 3 of them back and only got ONE refunded!

I have used this on a registered bag. When I received the bag the hard plastic case of the lock was quite worn. The woven metal loop was quite strong, but it held. I think the lock, which can dangle an inch free from the zipper, caught on a conveyor belt or some other mechanical force. The lock held so I find it strong enough, but I wouldn't recommend this type of lock for a plaid back.
