Works well in a smoking room.

I use this string to hold slow cooked roasts together and they work great. When I smoke a pork thigh for pulled pork, I usually buy the meat at Costco, where the butts are deboned and then vacuum sealed. They actually "cut up" the meat before packaging, leaving large chunks that often cook much faster than the rest of the meat. With this string I rub every inch of it, tying the roast down and getting great cooking results every time.

This is a ball of butcher twine

Needs to be filled before free shipping. Works great with all the chicks I tie, that's about 2 a year, and a few other tie jobs I use it for. At this rate, the ball is likely to last for the next decade. Doesn't burn even if the stove blazes at 450 for about an hour. Instead of buying expensive string, I simply twisted a small terracotta flower pot with a hole in the bottom onto a ball. It has a handy twine hole and is heavy enough to hold the ball. In theory, the clay can also absorb moisture…

  • Ideal for a small home

My wife, not realizing the value of a good meat string to a butcher like me, used it to tie a small bunch of wisteria and hang it on the wall. I missed it because I love her so much. But then, just as she was about to put my favorite string back in the drawer where it belongs, she started hanging it over the cat's head. I got straight to the point: Don't mess with the butcher's cord! This string is for wrapping roasts or boston butts to put in the smoker; not to entertain a spoiled cat. I would

That's not all, but it still works great!

My husband uses it to tie chickens before grilling. One person said the rope was a little loose, making it difficult to tie. i see what they say When he ties the chicken, I hold the first tie and then tie the knot, but as soon as I move my finger the rope begins to loosen. If you're not a professional cooker and just need to cook a string, this will work just fine. It's a low price and you get quite a lot of strings that will last you a long time. The little cutting knife at the top can be…
