Works as it should.

I have used this to test some UVC lamps which I also bought online. The Coospider UV lamp I bought registered 3000 on this meter and when it was blocked by glass the reading dropped to 0. So they checked each other. The only bad thing about this meter is that the detector isn't in a stick, so the only way I was able to safely measure UV was to cut out a piece of cardboard to confine the light inside, and then the supplied UV light and the box on it. Doesn't detect UV light

Not sure if it detects UV light of any length. I tried 3 different brand new UV lamps from 2 different manufacturers and the readings stayed at 0. I will try 2 other brand new UV lamps to see if I get readings. I will update this review after my next series of tests. UPDATE: I tested 3 additional UV lamps from 2 different manufacturers and the readings stayed at 0. I swapped the batteries from the ones supplied, the result is the same, the reading is 0. In total I tried to test 6 different ones

Like many others, I was looking for things during the coronavirus that would help keep my family and friends safe. I was interested in UV light disinfection, so I bought two different 25W UV-C Ozone Free lamps. I should have trusted the label and hoped the UV was real, but I really didn't get a…
