Utility Model

There's nothing quite like pointing to or holding a real model. This is a good version of the human spine, although it doesn't cost much more. The material is nice plastic, with rubber washers. Although there are no labels, they can be used to indicate different sets of vertebrae and their relationship to each other. Unfortunately, it does not hold well on the base and can be rotated a little. It also doesn't flex to show spinal movement, which can be helpful for the doctor or for practicing…

Decent spine model, with some inaccuracies

This spine model leaves something to be desired. It is 15.5 inches tall and very light. Although this is a representative model of the spine in terms of anatomical accuracy, the materials here are mediocre and not of very high quality. The spinal nerves emerging from the vertebral foramina lie well below the cervical spine. There is an atlas and axis (C1 to C2), but they are motionless and fixed in place, which is not an accurate representation of a true atlas and axis. It's a weak model…

Great for teaching/demonstrating the basics

I teach Medical Anatomy so this review may be a little pickier than it deserves but anyway please. in the right orientation. The vertebral artery is good because it runs up the cervical vertebrae and through the top of the atlas. After that, the pattern of blood vessels is destroyed, but it is comfortable for a while. The vertebrae flex, straighten, twist, and side-flex slightly, so this is useful. Removable hip heads are neat. The bad thing is that the spinous processes in the lumbar and…
