Description of Mad Gab Mania DVD Game

It is not what you see, but what you hear. Teams work to decipher groups of unrelated words into real phrases before time runs out. It's a game sure to spur laughter as friends speak this strange language, and then say the answer without even knowing it!. Now on DVD format for enhanced gameplay with two controllers for easy competitive gameplay with hours of content and fun. Great Fun For All.

Flash drive with the map version of the game

Setting up the remote controls was TERRIBLE. We were able to set up the 1st remote but not the 2nd. When we couldn't do that, you had to sit for 15 minutes again to set up the 1st remote. After 45 minutes trying to set up the game we gave up. Mad Gab with cards is great. Mad Gab as a DVD game is TERRIBLE!

Don't get the DVD version

The DVD version of this game is terrible. Syncing buzzer remotes to a DVD player is a tedious process. If synced successfully, the buzzers only seem to be in effect half the time during gameplay. However, the biggest problem with the game is that if you play the game more than once, some of the questions will get repetitive, making replaying the game uninteresting.

Not mad at Mad Gab, but mad at Mad Gab.

It's game night in our family and we're changing the party planner. I bought the Mad Gab DVD game and couldn't make the controllers compatible with the TV. My two sons, police officers in their thirties, tried it too. We could make one work and the other nothing. I ended up buying an old fashioned Mad Gab deck. Which is a lot of fun.

  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Can be retrofitted

I would like to give negative 5 stars.

This game is very difficult and time consuming to program the remote controls. If you play it for more than an hour, the questions will also repeat. So if you play it once, there's basically no reason to play it again. This is a huge waste of money. For 30.00 they could at least pack a large database of questions on DVD or include more than one DVD with the game. This is a BIG disappointment.

I don't know what other people's problem is.

I don't know what everyone else's problem is, but I had fun playing this game! We had no trouble getting the controllers to work, although it took a long time. The game was fun and when played in a band it was a blast. Even if the questions are repeated, it is not always the same people who play. I recommend buying this product if you are looking to expand your board game collection.

Funny but useless

I would give this game 5 funny stars if both remotes worked. My kids played with it for a bit with just a working remote and enjoyed it. This is the second new game we've bought and both times the yellow remote didn't work. Mattel customer service sent us a new yellow remote free of charge, which also didn't work. I think we have to stick with the map version of the game.

the good and the bad

I love this game but if you like a quick game or play a lot I would recommend the non-DVD version. The DVD animation and voice acting are slow and cheesy. I would have preferred the game to be faster, with more Mad Gabs and fewer scoring announcements. Also, the DVD doesn't contain any used Mad Gabs, so there's a lot of replays, which isn't much fun when you're playing with people who haven't seen it, but you've seen it. The buzzers are nice because you can play them from the couch, but make…

Works only occasionally

This was a very disappointing Christmas present for my daughter. We were able to return it so we're happy with the Revain, but it's a shame. The problem is that the controllers work so poorly - when you try to use them you have to keep pressing the buttons to get the signal to register with the DVD player. A very disappointing experience. I'm not sure if there is something wrong with our specific controllers or if they all work this way. Another bad feature is that if your kid wants to take the
