Manfrotto 1004BAC Master Stand Black Review

This stand is amazing! Very durable and attaches to my existing lighting stand. The handles are all good quality and strong. It just looks like a workhorse if you know what I mean.

I ordered this to replace the smaller version I've had for ten years. When I received them I was very happy with everything until I put them in my backlit carrying case. They are bigger and heavier than the ones I have. One should have known that. BUT. they really are perfect. The fold is flat. hard-wearing, soft, very well made. I'm glad I have them, but you should know that their weight and size are what you need to take with you.

Great booth! Very light but very stable with a wide base. Can be worn with the Profoto B1 and Beauty Dish for ultra-fast lighting. The locking feature is amazing and very secure. Rubberized handles are easy to turn and tighten. Some people have a problem with extensions falling off, but if you adjust the grip properly, you'll be fine. All in all a great travel stand. I have three and will probably have more.

I already have several medium stackable coasters from the same range and love them. I bought this because I like big flashes and modifiers and need something more powerful. It easily handles Einstein with a 47-inch Octa 10-foot. Just remember to put a sandbag inside to be safe, like you would any roller coaster. I will definitely be replacing my old coasters with these. They are so strong but not too big when folded. .

These are the stands you are looking for! I use two (each with a dual mount I bought separately for about $15) at wedding receptions and they are WAY BETTER than the cheap 8" coasters I used before investing in a better one . The yeast quality is higher than anything I have ever seen or used. At my last wedding a toddler tried to use him like a monkey for half a second before his mother stopped him and he DID NOT FALL. Magic. We recommend.

I bought this stand on recommendation and am very glad I chose this Manfrotto over a cheaper brand. The stand seems to be made of very high quality materials and is very stable. When fully extended there is no sagging or wobbling. During a recent home photo shoot, my 2.5 year old fiddled with it, but the stand never fell off. Which was reassuring. I'm installing a Flashpoint evolv200 flash and an umbrella so my setup is relatively easy. I will update this review when I mount a heavier setup.

I love these shelves. I have many of these and will continue to buy them when I need more light stands. They are reliable and easy to set up and use. The biggest attraction of this stand is that it can be folded and attached to other 1004BAC stands. I use a Manfrotto LBAG and can fit three of them in one bag. Excellent light stand. I am adding more light to my kit and need an extra one. This is my first Manfrotto product and the hype around it is backed up by the quality and durability of this product. The only thing I didn't like was that it didn't come with a carrying case. Just as I expect a shoe bag with my expensive shoes, I expect a suitcase with such a well-known and high-quality product.
