This is an amazing product!

At first I wasn't sure what to expect from this product. Two Saturdays ago I spent 7 hours detailing the car for the first time. I washed, foamed the snow, hand washed, decontaminated the metal (Iron-X), clay bars and then polished with Porter Cable DA and Meguiar's final polish. The car came out so smooth and shiny already! This was my first experience with auto detailing, so I forgot to use IPA (isopropyl alcohol) to remove polishing oils and residue before applying the Sio2 coating. The rest

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Hydro Blue Sio2 is a rare example where less is more; Use more and you will likely get worse results. Very easy to use, spray and rinse immediately; This gave the black car a more luxurious and wetter look. Spray only 2 or 3 sprays per panel (door is one panel, hood is two panels). As stated in this product's Revain video or in the same YouTube video (titled "Hydro Blue Application Guide by Nick @ McKee's 37"). Use more and I see an oily film on my black car paint. It's easy to imagine someoneโ€ฆ

  • Ideal for outdoor activities

First Impressions

I'm new to nano style car protection films. I didn't want to spend $500 for a professionally applied ceramic coating so I decided to give this product a try. I've used it on two cars: a brand new sedan and a well used Outback. I first applied it to a sedan that had fairly intact paintwork. Instructions are poor, spray on a wet car, rinse off immediately. You can see the product "activate" as you rinse it out. It's very easy to use as I've found it doesn't take much to cover the panel you'reโ€ฆ

I love this stuff! on car polishes and waxes

I use this product on 90% of all base detergents and waxes. Plus, it makes drying the car easier! Outstanding Hydrophobicity - Water layers and beads with the quality you expect from an SIO2 product. Customers love it on their windows. Can be applied to any outdoor surface - paint glass, trim, wheels, etc. I even applied to the chassis before the winter period. Reliable protection - that's why I rarely polish the car and then apply this product - basically just a thorough chemical treatment and

Another McKee's 37 winner! Be sure to try it!

I've been a long time fan of Detailer's Pride / McKee's 37. After watching a few videos online I was dying to try Hydro Blue. Using my wife's 2015 Toyota Corolla as my test car, I washed and burned the car first (burned it for the first time). Please understand the car is silver which is so patronizing that I hardly thought to detail her car. Now and then she drives him through the car wash and that's it. Claying its sandpaper-like finish to a smooth, slippery sheen made a world of differenceโ€ฆ

Skeptical but WOW results

These new nano-coatings are very popular in the automotive refinishing industry. Picking one to try was a hurdle. I trust 37 McKee products because they're good enough for Wayne Carini, they're good enough for me. This Hyrdo Blue works as advertised. Wash the car, spray while still wet, rinse off thoroughly and dry the car. Left my Genesis with a deep glossy shine and an extremely smooth finish that only sheds water. Did my car last weekend and it has been raining moderately all week and my car

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • No instructions

I have been detailing cars (and my family's cars) for many years and never thought that applying an effective end product would be so easy. I'm not a fan of the new nanocoatings because I like to apply and reapply protection to the paint; I love polishing and car care in general, so I don't need "permanent" solutions. So I prefer waxes and base sealers like Collinite 845 IW, Sonax High Speed Wax, Sonax Nano Wax and Menzerna Powerlock. I first bought the Hydro Blue in a small atomizer to try itโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for me

McKee's 37 Hydro Blue Sio2 Coating Review

This particular product is extremely hydrophobic and is excellent at keeping the surface clean. I've never used this type of sealer before but now I'm hooked, especially from my daily driver. Another thing I like is that you seal everything on the vehicle including the glass and it seems to last quite a while too. I also think there may be a curing time because it got shinier over the next few days after application. Very easy to use, spray about 4-5 sprays on the plate and apply with a hoseโ€ฆ
