Noisy, inferior to the Chinese PSU

Loud, very noisy, I found my old PSU bad. This is a less efficient old cheap nameless power supply, the power factor is also lower. It works, it seems well built but I would avoid it if you have to spend time in the same place as this PSU, the fan noise is absolutely absurd.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are cons

Good power supply for the price.

I added a 400 watt heatbed to the printer with two 30 watt hot ends. So he needs more than the 450W PSU he was using. This provides over 100W of attenuation so there is no strain on the PSU. The only thing needed is a temperature controlled fan. The fan runs loud and constant so a fan cover was needed to redirect the noise.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • unreliable

Use with 3D printer heater plate

My heater plate says it draws 350 watts but when first started it uses about 450 watts per linear meter. With these 600 W p/s there was no problem. A small problem I had was that when I plugged in the p/s it would disconnect under any load. It turns out that it comes standard with 220V; easy to solve. It's a bit noisy as the fan is always running regardless of the temperature, and it's quite noisy as others have noted. The Revain list is a bit lightweight, but it has short circuit, overload…

Built into my Ender 5 Plus to replace a cheap power supply

This power supply was well packaged and protected. I wanted to replace the cheap, unnamed 500W PSU in my Ender 5 Plus printer with a better, more powerful PSU - the 600W PSU was perfect. Although I had to install it outside, I already knew about it and ordered it anyway. I printed a set of mounting brackets with a protective coating for the connectors and simply installed them on the back of the Ender 5 Plus - this involved punching holes in the control box body and extending some wires (and…
