Description of 🚪 Weebo Pets Medium Breed Locking Pet Door - Convenient 11" x 9" Opening with Sturdy Hard Plastic Flap

Give your dog or cat the freedom to come and go as they please! Then, slide in the locking piece to keep unwanted critters out. Give your dog or cat the freedom to come and go as they please! Then, slide in the locking piece to keep unwanted critters out. Keep your house warm & heating bills low: Weather-proof hard plastic flap with stiff bristles and gentle magnet closure creates a better seal than flexible flaps. The opening is approximately 11" tall and 9" wide, which is perfect for a variety of breeds up to 40 pounds: terriers, spaniels, poodles, beagles, even cats (Consult our sizing chart if unsure). Adjusts to fit your door: Suitable for both solid and hollow doors of various widths, just trim the included plastic lining to cover any gaps in hollow doors. Full assembly and installation instructions included; low maintenance and very easy to clean.

I bought this for my obese cat because she can't get her fat butt through the 7 inch -Cat door and I want to be able to close the laundry room door when I have company. My cat is clearly not the brightest light in the port for struggling with the whole concept of a pet door, but she gets it in the end. And I meant it in the present tense, because every time she tries to use it, we go through the same comedic routine. The lock field is also good for episodes when it needs to be quarantined.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Easy to maintain

Ideal for curious or independent dogs

Works great! My dog uses it several times a day and greedily checks what's going on on either side of the door. Makes life better for us and for her as she can pop in and out as needed. Ease of installation. We put in an interior bedroom door so my dog could get in and out so he could get up in the morning with my dad without waking me up to go outside and force him to open the door. Since this was a hollow door, we sealed the hollow edge with white tape before mounting the frame on each side…

The dog got stuck in the door - twice.

My dog is afraid of the door. She reluctantly tried (twice) to put her head through, and then before she could get her front paws in, she stepped back, her head between the door and the frame. She couldn't free herself without my help because she kept backing away and trying to free herself; the door stuck around her neck between her ears and shoulders. I can't blame the door for all of this, but I think if the entire door were clear and not just a small strip, the dog would be able to see…

Weak, insufficient instructions, not worth the effort

Very weak making it difficult to stay straight and the door does not open freely. The instructions are terrible. There are extra parts but no explanation of what they are for. But nuts were also missing, requiring a trip to the hardware store to find the right one. The door doesn't actually close. There's a panel that you slide in on one side, held in place by pins (which then slide out when you close the door). I've been struggling with this relatively simple project for the past 3 days. I…

Bad choice all round

Difficult to assemble - too many small parts to attach at once when fitting to the door. I had a different brand door that was two solid pieces, one on each side of the door, screwed together... This door is not like that. This door has two frame pieces and 4 inner wall pieces which are very difficult to hold in place at the same time secure the two frame pieces. This door is also wider than a medium sized dog door and we had to cut a wider opening to accommodate it - also this door is shorter…

Les Miserable matches doors, gates and ramps

We thought it would be an easy replacement for our old and small doggie door with this one. Had not. It was such a shame installing this thing that we prefer to use a chainsaw, cut a rough hole and leave it. Directions are wrong. Step 1 says cut out the template, that's what you do. Then a little further, like in step 3 or 4, you realize that you have to glue the pattern together as you cut it out to line up the holes. And it's time-consuming and frustrating to hold the four fins lining the…
