Interactive Farm Friends Puppets by 🐔 Melissa & Doug: Engage, Educate, and Entertain! Review

I bought these dolls after my daughter saw Baby Einstein and fell in love with the Farm Animals series. The dolls are of good quality (washed several times in the washing machine) and fit in my hand with little wiggle room. My daughter loves these dolls.

As for Melissa and Doug's product, I am very disappointed in them. They are quite small and I should have looked closely before taking them but I assumed the mouths would open and they didn't. Most dolls open their mouths so I just thought they do too. Definitely not worth the money for us. Luckily they are cute and soft, otherwise they would come back.

My kids and I usually like Melissa and Doug products but these dolls are not designed very well. The animal's arms are not long enough for the doll to grasp or make obvious gestures like waving or pointing. They are too small for even small adult hands to move enough to bring the doll to life. They are not used at home and go in the donation basket. Not recommended.

They are a hit with four and seven month olds. There were many adventures with the prince, the princess, the knight Bob and the dragon Persilly! I had to find a replacement because the first dragon arrived just in time for Christmas but had a hole in the face, the second set had a missing stitch in that exact spot and the marked weapon left holes in the prince and princess. looks like a quality control issue. It was December 24th so I just kept this set but for the price you really expect more.

These are cute dolls for my 1 and 3 year olds. The colors are bright, nice soft velvety texture. All patterns are printed on fabric, the only individual parts are plastic eyes. They are big enough for my husband to put his hand in but small enough for my 3 year old. I gave them 4 stars because of the price. When I bought the set they were part of a $9.99 Christmas sale. At $9.99 I would give them 5 stars but at $19.99 MSRP I would look for an alternative.

We purchase many Melissa and Doug products and are satisfied with their quality. It was a disappointment. My granddaughter has recently become addicted to dolls and I thought this would be a fun addition to her Christmas gifts. The quality was shockingly low. The color is uneven and looks "pressed".
