Metra 95 7017B Double 2002 2007 Mitsubishi Review

It wasn't easy removing ALL the standard metal brackets in the radio bay, but it was worth it in the end! I primed the radio frame (and upper shift panel) with RUST-OLEUM Peel to match my look, seat covers and floor mats that I recently purchased. PERFECT!

In the main part of the dashboard there is no hole for the factory emergency button. So you either lose the button or risk cutting out a new dash and trying to mold the factory hazard switch. Very disappointed with this kit as the fit and finish seems pretty decent.

Do not buy if you disagree with the item with the typo (at least for a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer). The temperature and airflow settings have been changed. I figured it might just be mine so I asked for a new one and it turned out to be just a product. You may need to remove and repair the stickers. It could just be my car. It works too, but I wish they had more radio support. It only hangs on the back.

This item fits perfectly in my 2001 GLX Lancer with a small clearance on the top right of the A/C panel. It only required two small cuts in my dashboard to adjust the air conditioning control movement. Everything else is just great. Super nice for the price. I love this trim, it looks so much better than the gray trim on the other 2 din dash kit. I installed this on my EVO 8, had to trim a bit to fit the AC controls, but it looks really clean and factory new. Travel to the "hot" side is about 1 inch shorter than the max position when you move the A/C controls all the way down.

(-_-)? Two plastic brackets to mount a double din device. Individual DIN OEM brackets were even made of metal. Do not overtighten the screws or you will break the plastic brackets. Make some staples if you have the tools and materials. You also don't have to remove the inner metal assembly, just modify the bottom half to match the HVAC part. Just cut a hole under the center screw to remove the half where the HVAC unit goes. This metal frame helps support heavy dual screens.

i installed today, still waiting for my pioneer device, so i will post pictures after complete installation. You will need to make a minor modification as instructed in the instructions to move the heating and air conditioning controls. One of the problems you will encounter is that the air conditioning cable does not reach after being moved. The garage didn't have an alternative, so I swapped the cables.
