Good quality cable sets

This is the 3rd cable set I have bought from MSD in the last 20 years. They have always been top notch. The boots are good and you get a pretty decent click when you connect. They were longer than the factory cables on my 2013 6.0L Suburban 2500, but had no trouble adjusting since most of the extra length came from straight boots. Factory wires measured 1400-1700 ohms, and these were 47-53.

Excellent goods. The best 5.3 LS1 cables you can buy!

Fit these to my 2001 Silverado Z71 to replace a set of Taylor wires that decided to melt after 5,000 miles uphill. These MSD connector cables are so much better than anything I've used before! They come with little stickers for the cylinder number (not that you need that on this engine, but a nice touch). Reliable cleats and boots at both ends. I've even noticed a slightly smoother idle. These are the only plug cords I will buy in the future!

Not quite suitable for ignition parts

Wires are slightly longer than stock wires on my 2001 Yukon. On the driver's side, the third cable was rubbing against the steering shaft at the back. I was able to rotate the cable to avoid friction, but this resulted in the cable being closer to the exhaust manifold than I wanted. They worked fine for about a week. The car started to run rough when my wife left town. She took it to the dealer and they found that two of the wires were damaged. They saw no damage, but the measured resistance…

Installation was easy and they fit like an OEM. I was able to leave the heat shields on (some people said they had to remove the heat shields). I didn't notice any improvement in fuel consumption (I also changed the spark plugs to NGK brands), but the truck runs much better. I waited too long before changing spark plugs and wires. Chevy Silverado 2500 HD 6.0LA UPDATE April 2021: Just had to tweak my truck. In just FOUR years on my truck, three of the eight wires fell apart when the mechanic was

Great plugs! - Wires

Bought to replace the original wires on my 2005 5.3 liter Tahoe while changing the spark plugs. These wires are slightly longer than standard wires (I have MELCO square coils if you're interested), but that's not a problem. Only one wire was next to something else, and that was the third wire on the driver's side. It did touch the steering shaft, but luckily the boots can flex a bit so it's out of the way now. Remember to apply a light coat of silicone (dielectric) grease to the dust boots to…
