Just what I needed

I have a hard time staying awake on the plane. I recently traveled with a pilot who likes to go on autopilot and take naps so I absolutely need to be awake to keep an eye on activity. I was able to connect it to my phone and turn on Netflix to keep me awake during the flight. I could still hear all the radio calls by playing audio from my phone.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

SUPER quiet. Plugged into my Bose X and 737 headset and it just doesn't work. You can hear the AUX input, but it's VERY, VERY quiet, to the point where you can't hear the music. I've tried several phones, iPads etc and none of them had a strong enough signal to be heard. On the plus side it didn't seem to mess with the plane's system or sound or jam the radio so it's a 1 star. Basically useless.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

I used it once. I noticed that the volume of radio calls was much lower and I didn't feel comfortable using it in my specific flight conditions. If I'm in a long, rough area with no radio, that would be ideal. It does the job by allowing the audio interface, but my biggest issue is that it drowns out the radio on the plane. If this is the normal state of the product I will live with it. If this is a bad product, I'm not sure I know.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
