Five Stars for Best Lighting and Studio

If you just need it, this is definitely a good umbrella choice. Easy to set up, reflected light diffusion is quite good, I will buy again.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Protection

Very good value for money

This is a low cost light shaper with specific design features. It's an economy model, so it doesn't have the durability of a device that costs three or four times as much. However, it's great for beginners or those who don't need daily use.

Pros
  • Few competitors

Good coverage.

The diameter size is enough to cover a good part. Blends evenly into my background without casting shadows. The white side fully reflects the light from my aiming flash in a softer tone, making for some very nice photos.

  • Satisfied so far

Durable materials to last

I purchased this product because it was affordable and exceeded my expectations. It is durable and made of hard materials that are not easily damaged. When closed, it's small enough to take with you anywhere. Fits perfectly in all my racks/mounts and is a great addition to my gear.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Fragile

So easy to store in compact places.

So I love it. With a studio flash, a flash setting rather than steady should be used, as another reviewer said the white rod's retaining mechanism had melted and he couldn't close the shade. I love the fact that I can close this softbox in seconds and store it in a compact place or carry it around on site without pulling the taut wires out of the softbox just to make it compact. You need to be careful with this as it is thinner than a sturdy square softbox. I love it and can't wait to buy a…

For the unbeatable price

As I am a part-time photographer I have a full home photo studio with flashes and quality equipment. I'm just beginning to understand how nice it is to use flashes in place rather than lugging around flashes. But I'm not sure I fully subscribed to the idea of multiple flares, I didn't want to mess with really expensive modifiers. So I read some reviews and research and finally settled on this softbox umbrella. This is a great modifier. It's very easy to set up and take down and seems to last a…

seems very good and reliable

I am just starting out in portrait photography and wanted something cheap but durable. I love this umbrella because it turns into a softbox when a flash is placed in it. It took a while to find the right spot for the right lighting, but it seems to do a really good job with the butterfly lighting - much better than the open-bottomed umbrellas I've tried. In addition, the size of 43 inches means a large illuminated area.

The price is amazing

As I work as a photographer I have a complete photo studio at home with flashes and high tech equipment. I'm just beginning to understand how nice it is to use flashes on the spot instead of lugging around flashes.
