Nice and compact, with very clear optics.

I've compared it to binoculars of a similar size and magnification at my local shop. The clarity and image they offer was noticeably better. UPDATE 08/29/2015: Optics suddenly sees twice. I will try to fix it under warranty. UPDATE 7/1/2016: Sent them back to Nikon and they fixed them no questions asked!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Very good product Binoculars

My husband bought them for a friend for Christmas. Since then they have become his favorite binoculars. He says they're comfortable and lightweight, durable and don't fog up like most goggles. The tote bag is great for packing, they fit snugly in your suitcase. Nikon has been making camera lenses for a year, so the glass used is the best in my opinion.

Cons
  • sad packaging

inexpensive binoculars for binoculars and telescopic sights

These binoculars were bought for hikes and hikes where weight is important. The optics are surprisingly clear and the construction is very solid. They fit perfectly in both small and large hands, so there is no problem in sharing them with your spouse. They should not replace our binoculars for bird watching, so a more restricted field of view is acceptable. For the money this is a good choice.

not bad - binoculars

These are my first binoculars (not cheap children's binoculars) and I was thrilled. I'm not a professional and wanted a good quality pair of binoculars for the occasional family outing. I did a lot of research before deciding on this. Optical quality, weatherproof construction, light weight and price outweigh the low light benefits offered by other larger, heavier models, especially if you're looking for everyday family use. The optical quality is very good and I can definitely recommend these…

Excellent combination of performance and optical quality

I wanted good binoculars, small, light but with high optical resolution. After much research I have come to the conclusion that the Nikon ProStaff 10x25 is the best possible compromise. It was a little more expensive than many of its competitors and weighed a little more than I wanted, but it was still the best choice. The only flaw I found is that it only comes with a protective cover for one side of the lenses. I called Nikon about this and they said it was correct and the lens surfaces on…

Good optics at a reasonable price

These are very good binoculars that meet most of my expectations and needs. The optics are clear and distortion-free from edge to edge, the water resistance is good. They are not fog proof but were kept dry inside during a brief rain on a recent hunt. The only downsides are it's heavier than the Travel Lite model I replaced with these binoculars and the eyecups can be rotated or screwed in place. The weight difference is definitely due to the waterproofing, but the eyecups are nowhere near as…

Best lens for the money

Fantastic binoculars! They are exceptionally clear and bright for binoculars at this price point. Focusing is quick and easy, and the close focus function is great for birdwatching. This is the most useful size I've found and I prefer this size to smaller jars. I wear them when hunting deer and turkey and I think they are best carried in a backpack or turkey vest. They are sharper and brighter than similar cheap Steiner binoculars which actually broke inside after a few years. The only downside

  • GOLS certified

As it is I recommend

These binoculars are not the best compared to others that are more expensive. However, for size, weight, waterproofing, anti-fog and functionality, I recommend the Prostaff ATB! I like to hike in almost any weather, which means I need to carry water and appropriate outerwear in my small backpack. I have enough weight to worry about and heavy binoculars are not for me. I didn't want to sacrifice reliability for lighter weight because I needed a waterproof pair of binoculars that wouldn't get…
