In my opinion it gives very good results and works great in .

In my opinion it gives very good results and works great with my Sony Alpha-6300. It goes very well with the smaller camera body and offers almost all essential functions. The controls are probably the simplest and most straightforward I can imagine. The only thing I would like to improve is to make the two knobs transparent and put the indicator LEDs just below to make the current setting visible. This is important when working in low light conditions as the device does not have a backlit…

Good. The included optical slave is a big plus.

Helped me with my recent indoor shots as it's small enough to hide anywhere in the scene and has a built in optical slave. (I didn't know about the slave!) The price seems a bit higher, it's nice to know that it doesn't need to be equipped with a slave for situations like this. I expect it to be perfect for the collection I'm taking my x100t to. In these situations I want all the articulation this provides to allow the head to point towards the surface I want to use for rebound. By the way, the

Great Flash, bad documentation.

Beautiful flash for Fuji X-T1 camera. I've only used it a few times and I'm still learning. It's not very big and works well as a remote flash by recognizing an existing flash that's already on the camera. I was happy to see that we could get the headstones' side lighting in the bright midday sun with nice shadows to make the text easier to read. I also tried it with an extension cord and found that it works well in Auto and TTL that way. It comes with a stand, diffuser and soft box for good…

Attention, the inscriptions on the dial are quickly erased!

This is a really great flash apart from one major drawback: the printing on the dials on the back of the flash erases quickly, letters and numbers are not stamped on the dials. I had to paint my nails with clear coat to prevent further deterioration. A flash in this price range should have been better thought out. Otherwise I would have given five stars. EDIT: I've noticed that the nail polish isn't sticking to the dials and the lettering is almost completely gone. Also, watch faces are too…

Excellent value for money and quality; thin size and strong strength

I have been using Nissin i40s since 2016 on a Sony A6000 (NEX) body. The flash is 100% compatible with the A6000 and has great potential. I've used both TTL and manual modes, which work reliably and stably. My only minor gripe is that the tuning knob is for TTL and the manual controls are too strong. I wish there was more positive friction on the dial to prevent accidental turning. That minor flaw aside, the i40s represents excellent value for money, and its small size makes it perfect for…

MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR WARRANTY IN THE USA

The flash is small and fits well on my Sony A6300, appears to be well built and worked well enough for the two photos I took . Unfortunately I can't say how good it is. I'm sending it back because it doesn't have a US warranty as advertised. I plan to buy another one at a regular camera store. When I opened the box there was no warranty card so I contacted Revain who first advised me to call an Asian supplier in Hong Kong and request a warranty card. (Serious?). During a quick search on the…

Very good flash, customer service is a bit slow

The flash itself is very good, light and strong enough as others have said, with fast loading times. There are two small hardware problems. First, the red-eye effect is very noticeable due to the size of the flash. I highly recommend a flash mount to set it off the camera body and off the lens axis, or just use it in reflection. Second, the flash exposure wheel is too easy to touch and change unintentionally. On a busy day of shooting, it's annoying to have to constantly check the dial to make…

Perfect flash for X-T1

I was looking for an alternative flash with TTL support for the Fuji X-T1 and it works great. It's half the size of my manual-only Yongnuo 560-III and twice the weight of the Nissin. The flash head moves in all directions and has good resistance, so it is not easy to move. A nice bonus is the front video light. Not as bright as it could be, but enough when you need to isolate an object about three feet (or a meter) away from you. A video light works for video interviews, but it doesn't emit…

Useful flash for Sony mirrorless cameras

I have had this flash for a year and a half. In A (auto) mode, this flash works with Sony mirrorless cameras. I'm not a big Flash user, but sometimes it comes in very handy. I have no problem using it as a reflective flash with a diffuser attachment. Overheating is not a problem with this flash. I fired about 60 test shots in a row at full power and the overheat protection never worked. The charging time was only a few seconds, so the battery life seems reasonable for light use. However, the…
