Consumer Reports recommends

Consumer Reports ranks it as one of the top 3 car waxes. Of these top 3 materials, Nu Finish has the highest wear resistance. Consumer Reports defines durability as "how long a product lasts on a painted surface." If you are looking for a good shine and long lasting protection, I personally recommend Nu Finish to my friends.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • So far so good

Pretty much the only wax I'll be using on my cars.

Pretty much the only wax I'll be using on my cars. This wax turned out great. Apply, let dry, and wipe off, and it protects cars in upstate New York winters. It's less of a hassle than other waxes and gives great results! My dad used it many years before me and after seeing how well it works I will be using it for years to come.

Pros
  • Hands free

  • Little things

Simply the best car wax there is.

I've waxed cars for 50 years, tried all the big brands and many expensive premium products, but nothing works like Nu Finish. I've used it on everything from Honda to BMW, it's really outstanding. I have just used it on a black finished Jaguar XKR and the results have been excellent. It's easy to apply, even easier to buff, and leaves an incredible shine that lasts for months against the smog and southern California sun.

  • 1 year trial

Something happened to the formula when the new owners bought New Finish

I have been using New Finish for decades and have always been very, very happy with the results. You throw some coats over your car and it's going to rain for at least a year where you wash it weekly. Now that the brand has been sold something has happened to the formula and it's not good at all. The color of the varnish is not the same, and after all this work you can do with 3-4 washes, and then the rain will not drip. So I bought it and just didn't know. But now I know. Goes in the trash…

I would buy it again and many times.

I've been using Nu Finish for a few years now and used it in my job at a car wash in the 90's. Works best with light colored cars, especially white ones. It seems to last at least a year and more if you store your car in a garage. Insects, bird droppings and tree sap simply won't stick to this material. Tree sap is worst, but will be removed by vigorous washing with a microfiber mitt. I highly recommend this for white cars, it can be difficult to get off when the humidity is high but comes off…

Great product to protect the car paintwork on my 1965 Mustang

I purchased this on 5th February 2019 based on Scotty Kilmer's Channel recommendation for a one step 'wax' process to use on my 1965 Mustang being repainted Was painted in yellow with clear coat about 7 years ago. For the past five years it has sat under a car cover while I slowly sorted out and installed a new engine. I never waxed it but the surface got a bit rough so I tried this product and it was easy to rub and wash, doing section at a time with microfiber towels. The surface of the paint

Cleaning Rifle and Pistol Brass

After learning that using Brasso to clean rifle and pistol brass can be harmful (due to the ammonia content), I decided to make changes to what I was using Mug added. Now I'll say I've never had a problem with Brasso, but I decided it's better to be safe than sorry. Nu Finish does a great job cleaning and polishing my burnt brass. I add no more than 1/2 cap to the glass and the brass is exceptionally clean, bright and shiny. I feel like the brass actually has a smoother feel than Brasso and…

Easy to work with, didn't notice any difference in gloss, painted Plastic

I've just bought a bright red car and wanted to protect the paint. This material seemed to be the best, and Consumer Reports rated it the most durable. I've never waxed a car before, but it was very easy. It dried to a white haze in about 30 seconds and then rubbed off immediately. So I went through the car wash and when I was half waxing the stuff I saw and couldn't tell the difference between the waxed side and the unwaxed side. Maybe the dealer I bought it from already waxed it, even though…

For over 20 years; Regular Wax Free Sealer (Polymer)

As others have written this sealer has good durability compared to other sealers and is much more resilient than spray waxes. Even though people advertise products with "ceramic technology" on youtube (for financial reasons), this is a good value product that will last as long if not longer than ceramic products. As a buffing product, it requires elbow grease to buff and buff to a matte finish once dry. The secret to using polish sealers, especially this one, is not to apply too much liquid. If
