Omix-Ada 19005.01 Transmission Mount with Automatic Features Review

Perfect for my 90 xj. It took a little persuasion to reattach the crossbar, but that was to be expected. Make sure you have stand or a second person for the reinstallation. You can do without it, but installing the crossbar is troublesome. So far it seems stronger than the original. I will update if I have problems with it

Fits well, anyone who has installed something like this knows it takes a bit of wiggling to put it back together. Everything went well together. The part appears to have been manufactured circa 1995 Jeep Cherokee XJ with AW4 and 4.0 liter engine.

I used this gear mount to replace an unnamed white box mount that took just over a year before it was split in two. I installed this worthless bracket and the plate that bolts to the gearbox has been completely detached from the rubber for a little over a month so obviously I can't return it. Save your money in the long run and get a good aftermarket mount like Stinky Fab Racing.

This is a good mount. Installed in 99 jeep xj with no problems. This bracket will not fit later models with center studs. I bought two different mounts, one from Napa and one from Rock-Auto, both had thinner rubber. When I installed them, my transfer case sank so far that it hit the skid plate, just like the old one I was trying to replace. This is thicker and the rubber is harder so the transfer case sits higher.

Received it today so not installed yet. I also have an OEM unit from the dealer. I put them side by side and they really do look about the same. My only concern, and time will tell, is the actual quality. This device was made in India so I'm not sure about the quality of the materials. Again, time will tell. I will say it looks way better than the ones I bought from two different auto parts stores. In case you're interested, I work on a lot of jeeps.

Great quality and great price. My only issue is that he said it would fit my 2000 Jeep Cherokee. This is not a 2000 and 2001 Cherokee mount, it is not offset as much and is about a half inch shorter. If I had a '99 Cherokee, I would love it. When this was used on the xj 2000+ it resulted in a slightly worse drive train angle, my brake line was rubbing against my driveshaft (dual driveshaft) and my transfer case shifter was misaligned. Quality appears to be acceptable, some excess rubber molding around bolt holes that needs cleaning. big deal for me and Revain and Omix-Ada and several other websites say it will fit my 2001 XJ Cherokee sports car. it's not like this! From what I can tell the 2000 and 2001 XJs have a center mount and that mount is offset. You may be able to install this bracket on a later model, but the gearbox and exhaust are offset. 4 bolts attaching mount to cross member, not identical to original equipment on 2000 or newer XJ Cherokees. You can get it working with some loose leverage, but the bolts are offset toward the bracket, while the stock part has the bolts centered on the bracket. Also, the steel plate on the bracket was easily crushed by an electric impact wrench, so it's definitely not the strongest.
