It will work but I received a damaged product

This is exactly what I ordered. However, I didn't expect it to be damaged. One of the long sides has a warped jagged edge that looks like the plastic has melted and the lines have melted along with the plastic. This is what it looked like right out of the box. I ordered it because I needed a long ruler for cutting fabric. At least there is another site that should work. I plan to use it but am disappointed with the condition as it is new. There will be too many return problems.

Critical rotary cutting tool

I have spent a lot of time thinking about what size ruler to choose when buying cutting accessories. I'm very glad I chose 6" x 24". It's a great size to start with and has most of the features you need for a haircut. I ended up adding a smaller ruler to my collection (Omnigrid Half & Quarter Ruler) and between the two I can do whatever I wanted to try! Acrylic is strong and the lines are clearly visible on most fabrics. The ruler stays in place with light pressure and does not slip. Overall an

Sewing tool Satisfaction

I needed a good ruler to start quilting. I am not an expert in this field but I am satisfied with the product. The width of the ruler is exactly 24" x 6", which is very important when sewing. I was a little concerned that the square corners would pull on my fabric when you move the ruler, but don't worry. I find it a bit difficult to read due to the overlapping yellow/black lines. I would like the yellow lines to be a different color, maybe light blue, because I think yellow is hard to look at.

Pros
  • Easy assembly
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

I like this ruler, I use it not only for cutting fabric on a rotary loom but also for making patterns. As it is clear and well lined with multiple guides, it is an essential tool in my sewing workshop. I love how easy it is to keep everything in order. My only complaint is that the numbering from 1 to 24 goes in the same direction on both sides. If the numbers were reversed on one side it would make this ruler more versatile to be used top-down or bottom-up, but still worth every penny though…

Large and easy to read

I needed a good ruler with markings for grading patterns and decided on this Omnigrid. It arrived quickly and was exactly what I wanted. The ruler is long, 24 inches to be exact, and 6 inches wide. It is very smooth both on top and bottom and on the sides. Although it's quite busy marking the entire ruler, once you get used to it you can just look through it on the image below. It's wide enough that I don't have to keep moving it like I do with narrower rulers, and long enough that I don't have

a good starting ruler for novice quilters

My old fabric ruler was flimsy and the top plastic was peeling off (unfortunately it was the numbers printed on it) so I ordered a replacement. It's far superior in quality to my old one - much thicker/stronger/tougher and never seems to have a problem with peeling. That's a great size. I have a pattern that I needed to cut into something 18 inches long and since it's 24 inches long I can easily do it. I'm using mostly black fabric for this project and you can lay it over the black fabric and…
