Might be better for older kids

Bought for daughter who is almost 3 years old. I think she's still a bit young for that, although her 63 year old grandma wasn't impressed either :) Many of the shapes are too small and too close together to make good creations. It's a cute concept, but the actual placement seems more suited to older kids who want to create real food creations. Despite the fact that my baby has a very long attention span, it was too difficult.

Charming, solid and well made.

We have a bookcase with two large shelves that are used to store toy sets in boxes. This set is one of the most popular. This rating refers to the second purchase of this set. We had a little 2 year old girl visiting and played with this set for hours, we had a lot of fun 'cooking' together. She was fascinated by the timer and the alarm clock. She loved it so much I had to buy her a set to take home. Playdoh has been around for generations, and for good reason. Great toy, well made and good…

Our sons love it for crafting

Both our 1.5 and 3 year old sons love this plasticine set. They've been playing with it every day since they got it for Christmas and it's been entertaining them for quite some time. It comes with a small oven to "bake" your creations. Pull the lever and the inside of the oven will begin to turn red as if heating up, then make a tinkling sound when it's done. Very cute and our sons love it. It also comes with different shapes and multi-colored plasticine, as well as a fork, knife, rolling pin…

My toddler LOVES it

Bought this for my 3 year old for Christmas, his first Play-Doh. He loves to build and craft different things, but I wasn't sure if he liked it, but this gift surpassed all his gifts. He likes to play alone with him, but also with us. His fine motor skills are still developing so this is definitely something that will require parental involvement to ensure he is making the most of it (and not eating it) but he loves it. It comes with lots of little tools and things to make different meals, and…

My 3 year old loves it

my daughter loves the toy and loves this gift. It lights up and makes sounds when you bake a "cake". My only complaint is that she is 3 years old and had a hard time sliding the cake tin onto the rail in the oven but other than that she loved it. Also my other complaint is that while I pressed cake so you can take the clay back out and it looked like a cake or tart, no it pushes the clay in and just pops out of the mold huh Don't you the cake itself is only prints. There are also molds on the…

There are NO instructions so I figured it doesn't work.

So I went through two of them. In the first, we couldn't trigger red light or ringing all the time. I sent one back and received another as a replacement. We couldn't get the second one to work either. It turns out that you have to hold the button down for a bit before the indicator turns red and starts ringing. NO instructions in the box where it says so. My 2 year old was SOOO frustrated until we found out. Especially since it was from Santa Claus and we had to send the first one back to him…

Cake, cake, the baker will bake me a cake as soon as possible!

I really give this set 4.5 stars. My almost 3 year old LOVES this item. She loves the oven, plasticine, and baking utensils, and I haven't even put batteries in her yet! Pros: • Attracts attention of all ages • Comes with 6 small plasticine containers perfect for a variety of meals • Love the variety of meals. "Make" (shape with plasticine) directly in the oven. Cons: • The box shows multi-colored "buttons" on the stove. I looked everywhere for buttons and thought my box didn't have everything…
