Great lid for your aquarium! Way!

I spent a lot of money trying new lids for my guppy aquarium. I've tried flipping the glass lid onto other materials, nothing has worked. Here are the people! It takes a bit of work to cut the material with a stationery knife. Not very difficult to cut, just a little muscle work, hard pressure and repetitive cutting through the plastic. Cheap and works way better than what is on the market. You can also customize any holes you want. Why didn't I think of that sooner?! The plastic is…

Pros
  • Plastic
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Good quality plexiglass

I am making faux stained glass for a home decor project and these panels are perfect. They were a bit rough around the edges with a lot of tar dust (like sawdust) and the screen protectors were uneven/separated around the edges, but other than that they are perfect. Some other reviewers mentioned that they were a bit smaller than advertised, so I measured them exactly 12" x 24". Size wasn't that important to me, it doesn't make or break this project, but I was hooked nonetheless. Lightweight…

Pros
  • panels
Cons
  • Can't remember

The 1/16" sheet metal is semi-rigid, transparent, strong and can be cut with scissors become or a Forstner bit. I'd say without heat it will bend about a 6-8 inch radius and rebound. I've had some success with deep cuts and snaps, but you have to cut very deep. Cuts well with a good quality aircraft grade tin snips (wear gloves or use caution as with tin). I've really enjoyed making holes of various sizes (from 1/2" to 1.5") with Forstner bits, but you **must keep the speed low** or you'll melt

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen
