I love this line in quilting

Absolutely love this line. Flying geese are perfect every time. A few more steps than other methods, but the accuracy can't be beat. Love it so much that you have a bigger size now too

  • Great price

One Day Quilt Little Flying Geese Ruler

A MUST HAVE for any quilter's tool kit. Very easy to read and easy to use. There are other products that have a rib under the triangular lines to hold the ruler in place for a perfect cut. I've used them and while they're great, they're way overpriced. It was perfect for my needs and I found that with some pressure the ruler stayed in place.

Pros
  • This is awesome
Cons
  • Repair

Practical and fun goose ruler

I love this flying goose ruler with two goose sizes. Once you learn how to make geese, it will go fast. Eleanor Burns has the most beautiful pieces of quilting. Her books are very logical to follow and help make quilting fun. I've been quilting for a number of years and I like Eleanor's technique best. In her books, she uses instructions and photographs to show how to make quilts using her tools, such as a ruler. I highly recommend this line.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Very limited use

I bought this size line because Jenny from MSQ showed it and I had problems with flying geese. I thought this size was pretty standard but found it wasn't. None of the patterns I've made on blocks recently are this size. The line is too big. I think if you design your own quilt and make the geese a little bigger it would help, but so far it's been a waste of my time. I thought 3/12 by 6 1/2 was pretty standard, but I think I'm wrong.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Very accurate

It took some reading, re-reading and practice. Great line, very accurate. A bit pricey but most lines are like that. The downside is that each ruler only creates two sizes of flying geese. Other size ranges are available but you are still limited if you want to make small crumbs or large flying geese. Each ruler creates two sizes of flying geese, but each is a different waste. My favorite and most accurate method is gluing a paper backing, but then again I love FPP 😀.

Pros
  • Handy article
Cons
  • So far, so good
