It would be ideal if it were a little heavier. If you really need to hold the door open (with weight) I would look for something heavier. This is ideal for purely decorative use. I've received several compliments on it.

One of my favorite Revain purchases - EVER! This little bunny is just too cute - the perfect size and weight to hold the door in place without being obtrusive. I really like the rustic cast iron material. This little bunny brought a whimsical vintage charm to my home.

I love my bunny doorstop in my office. Note that I added four pads under the legs to make them a bit thicker and make sure they don't scratch the wooden floor. These two doors are hung a little high off the ground so the covers filled in all the essentials! They're just the right weight to hold down doors and are cute!

These doorstops are so cute. I bought 2 of these to give to my daughter (who has a rabbit running around at home). In fact, the flattened end of the doorstop looks just like your bunny when the bunny is stretched out on the floor. Door stops are heavy enough to hold heavier doors (e.g. front doors) and they look pretty on the floor even if they don't hold doors. My daughter loves them!
