Like all emergency inks

Like all emergency inks, this set has beautiful colors and is very inexpensive. If you want to try the Distress line, this is a great and affordable way to try it.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Poor fit of ink pad caps

Some ink pads are poorly cut or do not fit well in the box. Lids don't close well. Tim H products are sold in a box to keep them inside (another expensive product), they definitely need something to keep the lids from sliding off. The colors are the same as the original and they are ok. The pads are well colored.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • For old

I'm glad they released the Mini

Glad they released the Mini . I'm on a budget so getting all the colors would be quite expensive if I bought the full size. As I don't usually work on large projects I find this gives enough color if I want to use it as a watercolor without wasting ink. I don't actually stamp it because the image doesn't really get sharp, but when I do it's usually because I don't need a sharp image. All the colors in the emergency line are good, but some require care when diluting and mixing as the primary…

Pros
  • Packaging Dimensions: 0.8"(H) x 0.15"(D) x 2.75"(W)
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Great for specific purposes

I bought these because I saw a tutorial video by Shari Carroll on You Tube showing you a smaller area can use stamp pads (as opposed to the larger ones) to apply ink directly to the stamps and have more control over where you can apply different colors and I was shocked at how well it came out. I've tried printing stamps with large ink pads, but the opacity was never good enough. I think the secret was how she sprinkled a little bit of water on the image before stamping it. This gave everything

Pros
  • This set includes four 1x1 inch ink pads in four different colors
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other pads

Fun to use, easy to store

I love these Ranger Distress Mini Ink Kits! Buying them in these small sets means you can own any of the 48 colors for a modest investment. A 1 inch square cube works surprisingly well. I think by seeing which inks I use the most I can buy full size inks or buy new inks for them. Storage is also much easier due to their size - 48 full-size pads take up a lot of space in your craft room. Ranger makes a very nice metal case that can hold 3 sets of these mini ink sets (12 mini inks) at a time…

Pros
  • Raised felt makes it easy to use in small crafts and can be repainted with matching Distress Ink Reinkers
Cons
  • So far so good
