Tastes like dry, raw cookie dough.

I have some coconut and cinnamon bars, the taste is not that bad but they are so small. I'm doing a three day challenge, only eat candy bars. I have to say I'm still very hungry, it's normal for an emergency, I would try - you never know when you might find yourself in a difficult situation.

THIS IS NOT A HEALTH BAR

Many complain that this is unhealthy. Those aren't health bars, those are survival rations. They are designed to have a high calorie-to-weight ratio and are shelf stable. Love the packaging, very airtight and they taste good, would love to get something sweet in a survival situation. Look elsewhere for healthy food.

Not for health nuts

I saw the reviews, it's not useful. Look, these are survival bars. High in calories to keep you going if you get lost on a hike, or maybe for a cheap prep (Patriot sells them in bulk for $100 for 30 days). I bought these because I couldn't stand the lemon flavor of other bars. Again, while we don't buy for taste, we buy to survive. My show was on March 20th and ends on March 25th. Came fresh and sealed. look at my picture

Poorly Packaged: Emergency Grocery Supplies

On arrival two packs of bars were fine except one was broken and there was air INSIDE the sealed pack. It looks like the wands are sealed, but either they weren't suctioned well and let in a lot of air, or the wands are undergoing some sort of reaction as they release gas. In any case, only one of the two packs is usable, as the one in a loose, poorly vacuumed pack cannot be trusted.

Pros
  • Great for a Small Home
Cons
  • Small Parts

The product in white packaging (coconut flavored) is DELICIOUS!

I haven't tried the cinnamon yet, I'll clarify when I try it. I bought these 2 packs to see if I would like to stock up on these products to have on hand in case of an emergency. I opened a packet of coconut to see how delicious it was and was very surprised. It has a consistency somewhere between a dense animal cracker and a biscotti (although it's not chewy or crunchy). The taste is also somewhere in between or similar to them. It's sweeter than an animal cracker, with a stronger wheat/cereal

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • I'll write later

Great Product in Emergency Food Category

Seriously, why are so many people complaining about the sugar content and taste here? These are SURVIVAL tracks for the SHTF scenario or get lost in the woods. This is not for your hike, special diet or 3 day challenge. If you're worried about SHTF's taste and sugar, you won't survive anyway. Easy and uncomplicated. If things get so bad that you have to eat them, it likely means you're out of food options at all, you'll have what you take, find, and eat, regardless of sugar content, taste, orโ€ฆ

UPDATE: Bought 4 more packs, one opened to try - Excellent. The bars in each HEAVY pouch are individually wrapped in 12 airtight sleeves, so they stay fresh for days after opening the outer sleeve. weeks actually. I put them in a glass. Two weeks and in that time I've only used four bars. This amount is enough for at least 4 cocktails for breakfast and a few small snacks. About a quarter of a bar makes a great snack and I add the same amount crushed to smoothies with fruit, yogurt, ice waterโ€ฆ

Solid purchase. Better than expected!

Just delivered and they look good at first glance. The production date I had was 10/20. and the expiry date was 10/25. So it looks like it will be good for just under 5 years until it arrives. It's pretty hefty and the packaging looks and feels good. Both came in white packaging, which confused me a bit, but one had a sticker that said 'Cinnamon'. I decided to open one of them and went with cinnamon first. They are all boxed together and all individually wrapped in what appears to be very thinโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
