Description of 🎨 Discover the Power of Red Iron Oxide Natural Pounds - A Natural Solution for Vibrant Color

Fe2O3, also known as hematite or Iron(III) oxide. This comes from a natural source so the product has slight variation in color. Particle size runs about 500 mesh (30 microns). Used in welding, pigments, ceramics, along with a lot of other uses. We sell bulk for so many different uses, we don't include any specific use instructions.

Always keep dry! sealed. Use a very light dust mask.

good quality zipped bag. kept well. fast delivery. great product for CAD welding or teaching alloy casting or forging welds in the field. excellent material. Also no children's toys. This material is hazardous if not used properly. don't let anyone tell you otherwise. But don't be afraid to buy. just be smart research work.

Metal powder is flammable, be careful with open fire

Mix it with aluminum powder and light it with a torch and you get a metal that burns fast and hot. They burned the tree stump in the backyard. Took all the powder and 3 pounds of aluminum to light. I have some iron slag left over after it burned to the ground. Turned it into steel with some carbon and heating in the foundry for 12 hours. One day it will be possible to make a knife out of it.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

NOT a good source for termites - not very pure

I bought this looking for pure Fe2O3. It is clear that this is NOT pure Fe2O3, but iron ore with a high proportion of Fe2O3. It also contains a significant amount of hydroxides (apparently H2O is released when heated to 600F). Unfortunately, it is not useful for thermite reactions, as it barely sustains combustion and there is no iron yield (less than 1%). Update: Boiling HCL analysis shows only 73.6% soluble in acid, which is an upper limit for iron oxide content. If you still want to use this
