Clip exact replacement OEM

This is an OEM exact replacement for the window clips on my 2002 VW Passat 1.8L GLS The replacement was pretty easy, this is a youtube video. [.] shows the complete replacement of the regulator, not just the clip, but clearly shows the removal of the door panel. The only comment I would like to make is to take care of the door lock indicator in the top left corner. I would glue them in place once you've removed them from the door panel.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • not bad

A cheap solution to an expensive problem.

The dealer does not sell these regulator clips. They work great and hold up with no problems. It has now been tested for over two months. Of course it's plastic, and plastic wears out and becomes brittle over time. The clips themselves appear to be hard plastic and of good quality. If your windows won't go up and down, the factory clamps are most likely defective. Save hundreds from replacing the entire regulator and buy them.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • not sure

One of the two pieces broke immediately when the metal tab for the glass holder slipped and the other was very tight as would I think break it I've repaired this window regulator over 100 times and while it seems like an easier and cheaper fix, it's just a waste of time and money. To be honest I will form and cast aluminum because I'm tired of them breaking.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Requires socket

High-quality plastic. quality part.

This part fits my 2002 Volkswagen Passat 1.8T perfectly. These OEM window clips become brittle over the years and my driver's side window eventually settled on them. The window fell but didn't break. I disassembled the door panel and found the plastic clips were broken. These clips appear to be made out of really high quality plastic and should last a while. You can see that the item is well made. Will buy again when the passenger side comes out.

Pros
  • No need to buy a regulator
Cons
  • Hard to tell

It saved my mom a lot of money, easier than I expected.

I bought this product when I found out my mother's window wouldn't roll up in her car, I ripped off the door panel and then the other panel with the regulator built in (fucking tech in German) and both clips were broken so i got this one and shipped same day around 10am, got it by 8pm. I just had to glue them in place and reattach the window mounts and then the window. It was a lot better than replacing the entire regulator. (By the way, if you need to replace the regulator, you'll need to…

These clips save you a lot of money when repairing window regulators. They seem to be made out of high quality plastic and the price couldn't be better. I'm giving a 4 star rating because I had to modify them to make them work with my 99 Passat B5. I had to drill a hole one size larger for the nut, which wasn't easy given the small size of these clamps. For this I used a Dremel rotary tool. The slots into which the metal clips are inserted are also a bit smaller than they should be. Be careful…
