Worth the money

Hire a 15 seater van for a family outing 6 adults, 3 teenagers, 2 toddlers. I knew from previous experience that there was no luggage room or trunk. Although it didn't say it would take 15 passengers, I spoke to a representative and was assured it should work. It was easy to assemble and attach to the back, other than needing a step stool I had no problems. Driven over 3,000 miles with a bag in the back of a van. When we finished, we folded it very nicely into a storage bag, ready for the next…

Waterproof and worked well overall

Used on trips from downtown Illinois to Denver, Colorado so our 2 dogs could occupy the entire back seat/trunk. It rained at times, and one day it snowed heavily in Denver. Nothing got wet in the backpack. It would be nice if it had some sort of rigid construction to make it easier to pack, but if you lay it at least halfway down on the floor and then lift it into the car, you should be able to pack the rest up while it's in the car with no problem . As with other reviews, I would recommend…

Surprisingly very impressed and happy with this purchase!

After reading all the reviews I chose this cargo bag for my 1100 mile trip to Florida. I honestly thought we were picking up Christmas gifts off the autobahn en route judging by some of the reviews. Well I was pleasantly surprised. This saddle bag worked great. I have a small 2009 XD offspring and it fits great. We couldn't see out the back window, but I found where we put all our stuff. We didn't have to make any adjustments on the way down. On the way home we stood in the rain for 8 hours and

So bad it's funny

We bought this crap to carry clothes in vacuum bags for storage. At just 84 pounds from a claimed 100 pound rating, it sagged and warped, looking more like a sack full of cats than a pristine item in a product photo. We stopped for the night and had to take this thing off because there is no protection - it's just a zip, velcro and three quick release straps. Speaking of straps, they're confusing. One of the hooks was on the back. Another review here says it takes a while to set it up the first

Fantastic product. Very important. Highly recommended.

I drove from Florida to Chicago with a trunk in a Nissan Rogue. It worked great! In terms of the lifespan of this thing and relative ease of use, you can't beat Rightline for the price. It has been thought through down to the smallest detail and can withstand a lot. In fact, it was difficult for me to fill it. On the advice of other reviewers, I put a large plastic bag on the floor. I don't think it's necessary for this, but it was very helpful for measuring where the bottom of the pack should…

Every SUV/Van should have one of these!

We love it! Our SUV does not have a trailer hitch. That's why we bought this solution. We call it a car backpack. It works wonders. We camp a lot and this allows us to travel with our 2 kids in car seats and with all our gear without having to rent a van. You'll find yourself plugging it into your car for everything. Our bag was badly damaged and is still ticking. We used it about 7 times and even fell off the car once. (user error, forgot clip) and it still works. The material is durable and…

Mazda 5 Backpack under External Accessories

It took us about 3 hours to figure out how to put the bag on for the first time. You have to fill it up and then put it on the machine, but I read previous reviews and learned that 1- don't wait at the last minute to set it up as it takes a few hours the first time, and 2- use one any 50 gallon bag to give it a bottom and shape. Since I set it up for a family of 5 a few days before our trip, I just added random things to get a feel for how it works. One person can attach this to the car, but…

One of my new favorite Revain purchases!

We used it on our 1200 mile drive from Texas to South Carolina and it's a great find! Be sure to listen to anyone recommending a PVC frame. I'm so glad we did. It definitely helped balance the weight of stuff, and the bag didn't budge in my car even when we hit bumps. I was a little nervous and worried that the bag might fall off the car (having read some previous reviews) but my mum was in the car behind me and she said she didn't move at all and was easy with the car drove on. I don't have a…
