the holder itself is ok, the torx bit and the supplied screws were pure scrap. I have already contacted Ronin what a waste of time. Make sure you have extra screws and bits as they will break and be difficult to get out when this happens. Update: I've been contacted by both Revane and Ronin and it looks like I have a bad batch of screws. Ronin is aware of this issue and they say the new lodge is much better. They responded quickly and admitted there was a problem. To me, that says a lot about…

Worked well for my 2020 F150 Super Crew

The dealer gave me rivets but not these plates. They seemed very well made, had a good finish and included an extra set of screws for installation (there are 20 screws in the box when you only need 16). I have read the installation details and can confirm that the existing holes are not punched. I highly recommend using an impact wrench for this setup (don't know how I would have done it without mine). I would suggest using one of the extra self tapping screws that come in the box and using…

Pretty easy to install and seems to be just as good as the factory version.

Just installed today. My truck didn't have factory transmission mounts. This set included brackets for the box links, enough screws and a torx bit. I have to say after reading many stories of people having trouble breaking bolts when using an impact wrench I didn't want to risk it happening to mine. So I first drilled all the holes with an M6x1 tap. I then applied Loctite to the screws and all went well. Just want to keep in mind that the attachment points for this stuff are all aluminum. So…

Don't even hesitate. Buy and don't worry!

I don't know what the OEM factory gear looks like but I know it MUST be as close to them as possible without marking them with a blue oval. Installation was easy. . Took 4 minutes for one mount including installing spikes. Heed this advice and use the DRILL. Especially if you have a spray in your bed lining. And if/when you mount the fins, tighten all four bolts to 75%, mount the fins and secure THEN tighten the remaining 25% of the bolts. In addition, they will send you extra hardware…

Screw issues but once solved Plates work great in my 2018 Ford F-150

Brackets arrived on time. However, when I proceeded with the installation according to the instructions (thanks for the detailed instructions that came with the product AND for the instructions that were emailed to me! That helped a lot!), I could not get any of the install self-tapping screws. They just won't screw in after following the instructions exactly. I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. I had a Line-X liner installed prior to installing these brackets (factory holes were still in

Solid records! Solid purchase! Use a punch to attach

Strong plates, well machined heavy gauge steel. The beautiful finish matches my 2018 F150 perfectly. The supplied hardware is of good quality. Follow the directions, take your time, and use a puncher. If you do this you shouldn't have any problems. I sprayed the holes in my bed and the fittings with silicone before tapping the holes. I pulled all the screws all the way down before proceeding with the final installation. After threading the holes for the final installation, I selected the top…

Easy to install and performs as advertised

This product was easy to install. The instructions are well written and if you follow them, no problem. Because the screw holes in the truck bed are unthreaded, you must use the self-tapping screws that are included in the box. According to the instructions, it is best to drive in the screws with a drill, this reduces the effort required when screwing in the screws. The only thing I can recommend, as has happened to me, is to install these panels before adding some of the collapsible tonneau…

Cheaper alternative to work

I have a 2018 Ford F150. I was buying boots and the guy behind the counter asked me if I had anchors. I thought the spikes were built into the anchors. Do not go. They were separate for $50 an anchor. $200+ is out of my budget to have four metal squares. I turned to Revain and specifically to the anchors offered here by Ronin. Shipping was fast, they were well packaged and I started watching the tutorial video. You should probably have a hammer drill, which I didn't have. I was still able to…

First class product, above average customer service.

UPDATE January 24, 2019: Replacement plates and screws have been installed almost 2 months now. As long as there is no visible rust or obvious fading. Spare parts are significantly better than the first set. If I remember I will post a photo of the replacement in 3 months. I still get annoyed with the replacement process and I buy expensive screws that I ended up not using. UPDATE December 29, 2018: I saw a comment claiming that Ronin Factory left an improved product after a previous update. I…
