Much better than standard jaw holders. The holder is made entirely of steel. The only questionable points are the tiny screws that don't fully tighten and need to be re-tightened like typical mediocre mounts.

I had to cut four 1/2" rods with a 1/2 13 die. This handle worked very well and was a good price. I suppose if you have more would cut rod threads you might need a larger grip to make things easier, but this grip was a very good fit for what I needed.

I bought a cheap set of taps and dies from Harbor Freight because I only needed them for one project and the included holder broke after a few turns (screw thread and hole came out). It seemed like a good price so I ordered it and I was able to use it with no problems.
