Not the same anymore

Used years ago and did not fall apart easily. With intensive use, they quickly disappear. Especially rough. Once again, what was once a good thing has turned into something doomed to fail, so keep coming back and buying more. The other Revain option is my choice. The blocks in these 2 packs are less than half that, but last more than twice as long.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Misleading description!

Picture shows 3 "hand blocks". It doesn't even count as a finger lock. They are about 3/4" square and about 3" long. I was not expecting that. I haven't even tried them and they may work great, but I'll still feel like I've been ripped off. 03/13/19 - They returned my purchase but did not change the description. I asked to send the correct product but instead they just refunded the money for the purchase with no real solution.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • No machine

They work! fits sanding blocks

Went into my garage a few days ago the day after a heavy rainstorm when it was about 10 degrees Fahrenheit. My cast iron sawmill literally turned into a dust bucket. From zero rust to complete rust in a few days! I got out the Sandflex I bought a few weeks ago, let some WD-40 sit for 20 minutes and started cleaning. While Fine was working, removing the rust was too much of a hassle. Switched to medium and it got a lot better.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Only available in black

What did I just buy?

I bought this product because I thought it would replace sandpaper. It seemed to work like sandpaper. Instead, it behaved like a giant black eraser. Do you know what's written on pencils? How do they dissipate when they experience friction? Yes, it was. Was there sand? no Just a bit. On the plus side they look exactly like the pictures. The packaging was identical to what you see in the photo here - oh and they were delivered very quickly.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Easy to use but crumbles too easily

I wanted to like them as they seemed like a very clever idea: an easier to use alternative to sandpaper (and doesn't require constant replacement like sandpaper). And while they work adequately, I was disappointed to find a mess of crumbling Sandflex block under my feet (especially when using a rough block). The fact that they fall apart and crumble so easily (causing a huge mess on your table/floor/workpiece) makes them less comfortable to use than sandpaper and/or other abrasives such as…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Not bad

Works well. Well if you have something made of metal.

Rusty scissors? Scratches on a stainless steel sink? Unpleasant water stains won't go away? It's a must have in my opinion for anyone who prefers to fix things rather than replace them. I saved some shears and garden tools by sanding off the rust and then re-oiling. I have removed stubborn water stains and even light scratches from our stainless steel kitchen sink. I sanded down the scratches on our beautiful stainless steel kitchen trash can. They are made of rubber impregnated with abrasives.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Basically OK, but...

Industrial version of the blue side of the red-blue eraser

These are really big hard erasers with some sand. If you're old enough, you'll remember the red and blue erasers - they're like the blue side, but grainy. do well. However, they are a bit sticky and use up fairly quickly - I would have liked them to be a bit stiffer. Don't buy them as a replacement for woodworking sandpaper - you'll be disappointed, that's not what they're for.

Pros
  • New granules are torn open with use - never boring!
Cons
  • Some bugs

Great rust remover!

Excellent product. Better value for money than other rust removers I've seen as you get almost double the size for the same or less money. All three blocks are very effective at removing red rust that corrodes metal. You can even remove black rust (often referred to as a patina because black rust doesn't eat away at metal like red rust and actually protects it from red rust) to some extent if you want a more polished finish. The course block pretty quickly redeemed the machete from decades of…

Pros
  • Removes rust
Cons
  • No performance

They are so good for power tools and hand tools

I love these blocks. They're like an eraser with sand in it. As stated in the description, they don't clog or dull. They also erase like an eraser, but not very quickly. I've never tried them on a tree. I use them to polish scratches on aluminum. I haven't used a coarser grit yet, but the fine block works great on brushed aluminum. You'll never get a high gloss finish, but it's perfect for a matte look. It's a slow process, but with patience and hundreds of strokes, you can restore something…

Pros
  • 3 packs - 1 thin, 1 medium and 1 large
Cons
  • Slightly torn
