What a great stripping tool.

I have a cheap regular wire stripper. I also have a decent Klein wire stripper, but these are all ones with different hole sizes on the tool. You grip the tool with one hand while holding and pulling the wire with the other hand. Up to now I've only had to strip wires with my whole hand, but I already like this tool a lot more than others. Strip wires with one hand. No more pulling on the wire. No more guessing what size wire you're stripping and then picking the wrong one. And most importantly

but no better than my Vice-Grip automatic wire stripper

I have several "smaller" automatic wire strippers, but I bought this small machine to use when working on a client's site , because it looks more professional known brand tools. It works well enough, but no better than my automatic vice grip strippers. In fact, I prefer vice grip strippers for the same reason others have mentioned; the wire length limiter just doesn't stay taut. I can adjust the length and tighten the screw with my fingers as tight as I can, use it once, just put it in my back…

  • Sturdy construction

Little who? come on guys

What a shit. I bought this for home projects to use when taking off my Romex to make life easier. I did a few trial runs to get used to the mechanism and tensioner. I decided to give it a try. It worked great for the first two cuts and strips when hooking up an easy to access light switch and light fixture in the attic. Made three cuts with a cutter and 3 strips on solid 14-2 wire, which was the same wire I tested. Two days later I went to install an additional bracket in a second (much tighter

Klein Tools 11061 Self-Adjusting UF and NM-B Cable and Wire Stripper/Knife

UF cables I work with a lot. I seem to work with 10/2, 12/2 and 14/2 UF cable a lot and these strippers take the normally tedious job of stripping the outer jacket off a UF cable and make it easier. It's fairly easy to find strippers that work with 2-wire UF as there are several, but the fact that these Kleins also work with flat 12/3 and 14/3 UF is a huge benefit for the species of work I do. . They even work well for me on old, weathered, hard plastic UF cable jackets that I come across on…

Pros
  • Great for Outdoor Activities
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

A must-have item for Romex.

I think they are essential for Romex. Using a standard 12/2 Romex bevel, these cutters can remove the Romex jacket with one push and then strip both the hot and neutral wires with another push. Two quick presses in about 5 seconds and the Romex is ready to connect. Whether you're cutting 2-inch or 2-foot Romex coverage, there's nothing faster in this price range. Even grounded 14/3 can be done in the manner described above. Of course, it is necessary to rotate or remove the adjustable knife…
