This is a great tool for anyone who wants to monitor their solar panels.

The tools available for sensor monitoring, data storage and retrieval, visualizing trends and creating alarms are very strong. Having created my own system to monitor solar panels and had to learn new software and use many API calls to pull information together, SensorCloud was made very easy to setup and start using within minutes. It has its own app store so adding additional apps is very simple. All data collected is stored securely in the Cloud and can be accessed remotely using an internet

Pros
  • Very User-friendly, intuitive and powerful
  • Can handle multiple types of data such as voltage, current, frequency, PWM (Pulse Width Modulation)
  • Excellent documentation
Cons
  • Sometimes it takes longer than expected to receive responses
  • Could be better at handling larger datasets (I have been dealing with 100+ GB datasets)
  • Could be better at communicating errors in large datasets
