Works as advertised. My only issue is that the license plate is wider than the bracket. When I drive through a car wash, my license plate bends.

The mounting surface itself is not as large as a standard license plate, allowing the edges of your state license plate to sag and flex. The device protrudes quite a bit from the bumper, which can be a problem when washing a car or other places where it can get caught. This eliminates the need to use your braces. I'll try it in a different position or cut it into pieces to use elsewhere.

If you have a modified truck or jeep and live in a state that requires a faceplate, this is a very good solution for you! This mates with the standard clevis mount on most aftermarket bumpers. It has a small central piece of rubber that comes with the mount, but if the mount is narrower than this piece you will have to cut it off or throw it away like I did. The rear mounts are adjustable to a point, allowing you to fit a wider or narrower temple mount on top, although most are roughly the same
